Researchers have discovered nearly 500 ceremonial complexes in Mexico, and they are thought to have been of cosmic importance to Mesoamerican civilizations over 2,000 years ago.
The hundreds of sites were discovered using publicly available LIDAR data collected by the Mexican government...
...It is thought they were constructed by diverse groups between 1,050 BC and 400 BC...and, and, based on they way they are facing, many seem to be aligned with the sunrise of a certain date....

I have a belt buckle of the Aztec Calendar made of pewter from the 1970’s about 2-2 1/2 inches in dia. It’s pretty cool.
Yours is pretty cool, too, and worth a lot more!

Is that crazy show still on?
I might check back on it.
Sometimes they pick up on some obscure sites that really should be investigated.

Don’t get hung up on “Mexicans”, substitute “same country of origin” if that makes it more understandable to you. My point was the builders were not all that diverse as they all most likely descended from the Olmecs. Diversity is not a strength as envisioned by our revisionist hand-wringing snowflakes.
