I've done it myself around the farm more often than I'd like to admit.
I have to give him a pass. Killing someone, especially unintentionally is devastating.
Baldwin is a loud mouthed bully, but will live the rest of his life with this terrible deed.
Wonder if the cops detained him on suspicion of homicide and took blood and urine samples for drugs and alcohol. Virtually anyone else would have been arrested.
Another question is why did he point and shoot the gun at these two people? The photos of him after the shooting do not show him in costume so it doesn't appear this happened while they were shooting the scene. Was he rehearsing the scene? Or did he just randomly pick up the gun, believing it was loaded with blanks, and then fire the gun at these people as a prank?
Not to mention, the deceased husband is an attorney.
“ Firearm safety on a movie set is not the actor’s responsibility.”
Wrong wrong wrong.
If you have a weapon in your hand it’s YOUR responsibility.

As irrational as Baldwin is sometimes, I would not be surprised if he chambered a live round or switched firearms to injure someone he disliked.

I didn’t know the gun was loaded
And I’m so sorry, my friend
I didn’t know the gun was loaded
And I’ll never, never do it again
What is a live round doing on or around any production set ever.
How did the gun get into Aaric Bawrin’s hand?
Was it his?
Most importantly though, why did he point it at the cinematographer and pull the trigger.
Hard to get around this one.
It’s all on film for now... look for that to go missing.
The Daily Beast has hinted that the "prop gun" may not have been a proper "prop gun."
Presumably the local police have the gun, and are checking it out.
Gee, ya think?
I went to an amusement in which there was a staged gunfight. Some of the “cowboys” were walking around in the audience armed. A quick glance from me at their guns showed them to be black powder revolvers with the nipples removed.
Those participating in the gun fight were on top of buildings, very loud blanks, and a quick reload.
From where I was I noticed the empty ammo cases were black and short. I wanted to get a better look at the cases but could not get close enough.
I would love to see some close up photos of the firearm used, the bullet that went through one and struck another, and the ammo cases that were in that firearm.
***Sometimes familiarity backfires***
Reminds me of something I learned over sixty years ago. “Familiarity breeds contempt.”
Why was he aiming it at her?
Giving an example of how something might be possible to one wondering how something could possibly be is not exactly the same thing as speculation.
This was NOT an accident. Baldwin pointed a gun at her and pulled the trigger. It was NOT part of a scene...
Would be interesting to find out that it came from his private gun collection...associated with cowboys.
"Something" in his mind made him write this cowboy movie, "RUST"...which is about an accidental murder.
And he's a big anti-gun person.
He's been in enough movies to know "gun rules".
