Perhaps. But a thorough investigation would include a diagram where everyone was and where the gun was pointed when it was fired by Baldwin. Really doubt a thorough investigation will be done.
I remember that incident, used to patronize the store in question. Did not realize that not so Smart Alec had weighed in (unsurprisingly). Truth of the matter was that those HB Cops were put in a heck of a situation, and all of their critics had the luxury of reviewing their actions, safely, from their You Tube stations. Sickening, on SO many levels . .
You forgot one scenario - they put a live round in the chamber instead of a blank.

I don’t know what happened in this particular case, but blanks might propel something that was in the barrel, maybe something like the brush head of a cleaning rod that got accidentally left in there.
Firearm safety on a movie set is not the actor’s responsibility - that rests with the armorer or prop boss. Alec Baldwin is a jackass, but I don’t think this is his fault.
The officer was trained and doing his job to serve and protect. Alec was untrained and playing pretend in a useless movie.
He’s also the producer of this movie..................
Someone who played the role of the despised Orange man on SNL becoming a folk hero to all the wacko lefties, nah, no investigation, no culpability, not here in the soviet union under bidet.

Nah, he took advantage of the dastardly "loophole".
Yes, don't let the spin displace the facts.
That’s a ridiculous statement!
Firearm safety is first and foremost, the responsibility of the person holding the firearm!

^^^^^^
This!
It obviously wasn’t a prop.
I don’t much care for Baldwin but he was set up by the crew handling the prop gun. Why did they load it with a real round?
I guess the crew didn't much care for Baldwin either.
Police said she was killed by projectile, not what kind though, need more facts and less useless speculation.
Do we know that?
