C.M. Kornbluth wrote a story many years ago titled “The Marching Morons” in which he envisioned a future where the productive citizens of the world were practically enslaved by the ignorant masses who expected the workers and thinkers to support their drone-like lives. One man’s solution was to convince the masses that Venus was a paradise where people could immigrate and live indolent and easy lives. The masses lined up in droves to be rocketed into space. Perhaps we should try that with the greenies.

Nevermind, I’m wrong, not you. The universe is expanding, therefore cooling down not heating up. I think I’ll take a break from posting for a while.
Since no one knows if the Universe is infinite or finite, and if finite no one knows its measurements, I don’t see how “taking the temp of the Universe” has any meaning.
