Emmy-winning U.S. actor Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and described her condition as a "tough road."
"A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It's been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It's been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going," she said in a tweet on Tuesday....

i know the show
its a man hating show
all the male characters are bad except for the gay ones
and they toss around swears every third word like its great dialog, its not
its not that good
Actor vice Actress. Ok. So what.
THAT is a great story. I am glad for your friend, and hope that Christina (and others diagnosed with it) can recover the same way.
Yes, she is a great actress... but how in the heck is Will Ferrell so popular? He is so creepy (and a crummy actor) :P
For years I thought I was the only one that noticed that.
I also want my stewardess back :/
Yikes. That probably rules out a Married With Children reunion. Damn shame (Forget Roseanne or Murphy Brown, if you’re gonna revive a late 80s trashy sitcom, go for broke!)
Amanda Bearse would be more of a problem than Christina’s health. She’s a full-on masculine bulldyke now.
You noticed that, too? I watched all 8 seasons of House episodes back to back during lockdown.
Their go-to theories were sarcoidosis and amyloidosis (?) over and over again. I never heard of those illnesses before that show.
You're right, the writers should've had them diagnosing everyone with MS.
Glad your mother recovered after that misdiagnosis.
I remember her more as the girlfriend from Fright Night. Yikes.
Supposedly Ellen Page will continue to play the FEMALE character of Vanya Hargreeves on The Umbrella Academy AFTER Page went trans (”Elliot Page” according to the media shills now) and got top surgery, so there’s that.
Even Ed O’Neill observed in an interview about his “difficulties” with Amanda that in the 12 years of the show, she moved away from being pretty/feminine (lesbian) in the early years to more masculine towards the end. If they were to do a reunion, it would probably make sense to have her become a bulldyke (having Jefferson divorce her).
Prayers for Christina.
As for a reunion, if it was gonna happen it would have already.
Here’s a Steve and Marci cameo in a dream sequence from some failed sitcom.

An aside, I’ve started to see actresses referred to as “actors” a lot. I don’t like.
Yeah, first cancer and now this. Just damn ...
Didn't really notice it until this article, but you're probably right its some obnoxious trend by the media to destroy gender roles in society, like them coming up with that idiotic phrase "Latinx" so they can make Spanish culture "gender neutral" (which is particularly insulting since they'd claim conservatives are racist and/or elitist if WE invented new words to make the Spanish language "gender neutral" in order to conform to our own culture)
Of course they still distinguish between the sexes when it comes to "Best Actor" and "Best Actress" categories, but I think we need to brace ourselves for the inevitable trend in a few years where they will nominate some man (one that "identifies" as a woman, of course) for a "Best Actress" award. Hollywood celebs would love to do that to get brownie points for political correctness, and of course the media will fawn over the male "Best Actress" nominee to continue to push the "Transwomen are ACTUAL women" narrative.
Probably so-and-so Transperson's performance won't even be worthy of ANY kind of award, they'll just happen to be in the right place at the right time, like when Tom Hanks got "Best Actor" for his lousy phoned-in performance playing a homo, or when Heath Ledger was named "Best" actor of the year for being dead, and the hype how the role of "the Joker" supposedly consumed him and lead to his death (which was BS, he did other movies AFTER that one)
The Razzies always routinely awarded "Worst Actress" awards to men in drag portraying female characters (Adam Sandler, Eddie Murphy, etc.) to mock them, but now the inmates are running the asylum.
Fortunately, I doubt the male "Best Actress" nominee will actually win over an ACTUAL woman.
An interesting story that apparently happened in reverse (some previously culturally hedonist person becoming all chaste and pure) was the well-publicized story of when Kirk Cameron converted to Christianity in the middle of the sitcom Growing Pain's run. There's been a ton of books written on the topic, but they should really do some "behind-the-scenes" tell all movie about it, it would be FAR more interesting than the show itself was.
Cameron's a hard-core Christian conservative now, so of course he has a big fan base on FR. I have a negative view of him in much the same way Ann Coulter used to rub me the wrong way, but tons of FReepers loved her. My problem with Cameron is not what he does but HOW he does it. FReepers used to bash Rick Santorum when he was running for President and accuse him of being an overbearing holier-than-thou type, which IMO is more true of guys like Cameron. It's great that he's a staunch pro-life Christian now, its NOT great that he is a sanctimonious ass about it.
From what I've heard, he became extremely difficult to work with and very demanding on the show after his conversion (refused to do any scripts that went against his worldview, for example, demanded episodes that depicted pre-martial sex get rewritten). His co-workers said he gave them the cold shoulder after the show ended and refused to talk to them because they "weren't Christians" (ALL of them, Kirk? I find that hard to believe that not ONE person in the cast besides you attended church...), which ironically seems like very UNchristian behavior to me.
Also interesting, both former 80s teen heartthrobs/bad boys Kirk Cameron & Marky Mark have now become devout Christians (in Marky Mark's case, a hardcore practicing Catholic), but you never hear about Mark's profound spiritual change of heart, because again... he's NOT a sanctimonious ass about it!
I’ve wondered whether the dislike for Kirk Cameron from Hollyweird was based on his being a Christian Conservative or because he actually is difficult to work with (then again, so are many leftists - Streisand is notoriously horrid to work with). I’m guessing it’s a mix of both bigotry and some reality.
Because he’s a Christian Conservative.
That show - AWESOME!!!
It’s a ripoff of the Russian rip off of “Married”!
