It is so scary here. We had a fire four days ago very near, but were able to get it out. Tahoe is going to burn. They are trying to evacuate everyone. I want to move desperately.
Biden Admin is not worried at all. No one is going to impeach this senile.

I can make apple butter, and turns out okay canned too. Just not anything that is supposed to gel. I even watched a friend make hers and she gave me directions as she went. I took notes. Still, didn’t work for me when I tried it myself

We sure have had enough rain and it is marvelous.
It didn’t rain for a few days and the temp shot up to the low 90’s but the last 3 days it has rained every afternoon, brings the temp down 20°.
We’re under flash flood warnings too.
Glad hubby isn’t having to deal with the storms as he travels, hopefully things will be good in Alabama in a couple of weeks.

Tahoe is under mandatory evacuation. The fire is torching and crowning down from Echo Summit. We have red flag conditions.

A local Marine is speaking out against senior military and civilian leaders after the current fallout in Afghanistan and an attack that took over a dozen service members’ lives.
Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller posted a video to Facebook last Thursday, “demanding accountability, integrity, and honesty from senior leaders in the Marine Corps” after 13 U.S. service members were killed in Thursday’s suicide bombing in the Afghan capital of Kabul.
A veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, Scheller was recently assigned to the School of Infantry East, Advanced Infantry Training Battalion, as the commanding office aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in June, according to his bio.
Scheller’s video comes in the wake of social media outrage from civilians and alleged service members, questioning the process of procedures that took place to evacuate U.S. personnel.
President Joe Biden authorized the beginning of removing U.S. troops from the region before Taliban forces successfully took over control of Kabul, prompting the return of 5,000 troops to oversee the evacuation of military personnel and civilians.
“People are upset because their senior leaders let them down and no one is raising their hands and accepting accountability, saying we messed this up,” Scheller said in the video. “Did any of you throw your rank on the table and say, hey, it’s a bad idea to evacuate Bagram Airfield, a strategic airbase, before we evacuate everyone? Did anyone do that,”

After 17 years of service, Scheller closed the video out by saying he is willing to throw it all away to demand accountability.
On Friday afternoon, Scheller made a separate post to Facebook stating as of 2:30 p.m. he was relieved of his duties. The Daily News reached out to Scheller but he has declined comment to all media other than his social media accounts until his official exit from the military.
Base officials confirmed the news, adding Scheller was relieved of command by Col. David Emmel, Commanding Officer of School of Infantry-East, due to a loss of trust and confidence in his ability to command.
“This is obviously an emotional time for a lot of Marines, and we encourage anyone struggling right now to seek counseling or talk to a fellow Marine. There is a forum in which Marine leaders can address their disagreements with the chain of command, but it’s not social media,” said Marine Corps spokesperson Maj Jim Stenger.
Scheller mentioned in the video he knew one of the casualties from Thursday’s attack but did not go into further detail of who it was out of respect for their family.
As the death toll grew, the country learned on Saturday one of the casualties hit home for the people of Eastern North Carolina.
Pentagon officials confirmed Marine Corps Sgt. Nicole Gee, serving as a maintenance technician with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit from Camp Lejeune, died in the attack. Gee is originally from Sacramento, California.

“My chain of command is doing exactly what I would do if I were in their shoes. I appreciate the opportunities AITB (Advanced Infantry Training Battalion) command provided,” Scheller added on Facebook.
Sunday afternoon, Scheller made a second video in response to criticism he received and to thank his supporters over the last 72 hours.
According to the video, Scheller pledged to resign his commission and is currently not pending legal action. He also says he is looking to forfeit his retirement and any other military benefits he is entitled to.

Hmmm.... you’re correct; that black line at the top is part of the original photo and has a different angle to it than the Alphabet Soup (my terminology) flag.
Is Scheller one of the guys on War Room a couple days ago? If so, he expected to lose his job because of his statement, and Erik Prince guaranteed him a job if that happened.
