Woman uses Gorilla Glue on hair after running out of hairspray ... ‘My hair, it don’t move’

(Gray News) – Tessica Brown wanted a little extra hold after she ran out of her regular hairspray.

Instead of using her usual Got2b, she subbed Gorilla Glue Spray Adhesive.

The results? Well, they weren’t exactly what the Louisiana woman was looking for.

“My hair has been like this for about a month now. It’s not by choice,” Brown said on Instagram last week. “My hair, it don’t move. You hear what I’m telling you? It don’t move.”

She said she washed her hair 15 times and it didn’t help.

The Gorilla Glue website isn’t clear on how to remove its spray adhesive from hair, only from the body and skin.

“While still wet, Gorilla Spray Adhesive can be removed by wiping adhesive with a dry cloth, and then washing the area with soap and water,” the FAQs section says. “Once cured, rinse well with water.”

Brown sought medical attention over the weekend.

Another Instagram post shows her receiving treatment at St. Bernard Parish Hospital.

On Monday, Gorilla Glue responded to Brown’s predicament on Twitter.

“We are very sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident that Miss Brown experienced using our Spray Adhesive on her hair,” the tweet said.

“We are glad to see in her recent video that Miss Brown has received medical treatment from her local medical facility and wish her the best.”

Cut her hair off completely with an industrial razor, apply medicine and cover/seal any cuts, then use nail polish remover to her bald scalp. That WILL remove super glue, of which gorilla glue is a product.

Then wash her head with a soothing oatmeal/aloe shampoo (at this point just a skin path). Get a full wig until/if her hair grows back.

Finally, tell her to NEVER use any glue anywhere on her body again.

Gorilla glue and plastic packing peanuts would make a fine substitute for tar and feathers.

Just sayin’.

My niece’s boxer got into a tube of gorilla glue once. He ate a good bit of it and also managed to smear some on his fur and get himself glued to the other dog in the house. The glue he ingested had to be surgically removed.

It was most definitely her choice. She didn’t want her hair to move.

I read where she had run out of the hair product she normally used, named Got 2B Glued. I think she actually thought she had been using glue based on the product’s name. Every single day I read something where I think, “People can’t get any dumber!” and the next day I am proven wrong.

When will people ever learn??? It costs a little more, but she could have purchased a 10 oz bottle of thin FastCap 2p-10 Super Glue and put it in a spray bottle... it has a beautiful sheen, would have held just as well, and she could have sprayed on an activator for instant results and a pleasing buzz. And most importantly... acetone (most nail polish removers) softens up and takes off cyanoacrylate based adhesives, when it is time for a reapplication. /s

This is a joke... please do not do it!!!

She must be related to the lady from Philly, who years ago sued the contraceptive jelly manufacturer because she still got pregnant after always using it on her toast.

Way back in the mid 70’s, when SUPER GLUE first appeared on the market, I was in the Marines and drove a buddy to his home in New Jersey for Thanksgiving because his car was in the shop.

While there, someone in the family had bought a tube of this new miracle stuff and we were all looking at it while they glued a broken cup handle back together.

They then laid the tube down on the coffee table and everybody went to the dining room.

Meanwhile, their two year old son was watching us and immediately went to the table and picked the tube up and took off the cap.

I saw the kid and rushed over to stop him from eating the goop, and his first reaction was to squeeze the tube as hard as he could to keep me from taking it away. I grabbed his little hand and immediately we were both glued together, hand to hand.

Of course, he started screaming and trying to pull away, but he couldn’t and that just made him scream that much more.

It took most of an hour and a couple of bottles of fingernail polish remover to get us separated, with the kid screaming the whole time.............

The only solution is to shave it all off. Of course nothing will prevent her from repeating her mistake.

In multiple languages.

We get them in English, Hebrew, Arabic, and French.

Usually hilariously badly translated.

Is she going to sue GG because it doesn’t say “not to be used on hair”? I’ll bet they write that on all future bottles of GG.

As long as it's not in cursive.

Well the glue worked the first time, when she glued the tarantula legs to her eye brows.

How could Gorilla Glue think of all the possible stupid things people might use it for and warn them not to do it?

There wouldn’t be a bottle big enough to contain all the warnings.
