[Vanity] How exactly does Trump still win?

Posted on 12/16/2020 5:33:14 PM PST by springwater13

With no disrespect, the electoral college has voted. The only other option is for Congress to vote against sitting a set of electors and that would require a Nancy Pelosi controlled House to vote for sitting Trump. You have a better chance of a meteor hitting Earth causing us to all go extinct like the Dinosaurs than Nancy Pelosi electing Donald Trump President.

I mean seriously, what is the play here? I don't get it.

Trump has an extremely good chance at winning. The DNI report said the "public" report will not be shown until January. DNI's twitter said the same thing "costumers" we're the customers Trump is not
Take a breath we're living history as we speak. Picture D day WWII how they felt while they waited before battle. or the Spartans stand Thermopylae they wait had to be difficult

Instead of posting a stupid vanity, why not read for yourself?

You’re just lazy, plus you have already made up your mind. Why you wasting our time fool?

“I don’t get it”

No, clearly you don’t.

“You think Ted Cruz would have us as passionate about our country?”

Cruzbots are typically #neverTrumpers.

God help us all, even the bullies and fascists here.

I think you have it backward

Maybe I do.

At any rate, it won't happen - the electoral vote will be accepted as is, because:
1) That's the easiest, least troublesome way to go.
2) All the dems and at least half the repubs want Trump gone anyway.
3) Media will crucify any Congressperson who even considers protesting the electoral vote.
4) Practical concerns: If Trumps loses, the outrage and violence will be nothing compared to what happens if Trump wins.

You skipped a step. If there’s an objection from both the Housecand the Senate to a states electors , then both the Housecand the Senate vote on whether to accept or reject those electors - and the vote is a regular vote by individual members, not by state delegations. Both chambers must vote to reject a states electors for the electors to be excluded

if enough electors are rejected that neither candidate has a majority, then the House votes on which candidate should be president - and it’s THAT vote that is by state delegations

This is some of the best analysis of what is going on I’ve heard yet... and I think it answers your question well. Highly recommended:

He’s wrong. Would require majorities in both House and Senate to reject electors.

“After each house votes on whether or not to accept the objection, the Joint Session reconvenes and both chambers disclose their decisions. If they agree to the objection, the votes in question are not counted. If either chamber does not agree with the objection, the votes are counted.”

>> Trump wins 26-30 states

In other words, a landslide.

Yesterday I received a poll email apparently from the Trump camp. I found it disturbing because there was no place for comment. I wanted to say "Do not concede!"

The poll asked "should President Trump run in 2024? -Yes, -No.

Whisky Tango Foxtrot?!!! Does this mean Trump is quitting and will try again? or He's planning to run for a third term? The poll question left a lot to the imagination.

When reading all the reports that he will win, but then there are roadblocks, it gets very confusing.

I just want Trump to go full cuomokazi.

That is not how it works. Picking it up at the “If that doesn’t happen..” line...

If that doesn’t happen, then the challenge fails, and the challenged vote or votes stands.

The only scenario that gets the matter to the House and the 1-vote-per-state part is if there are enough accepted challenges in the previous step to take Biden under 270 electoral votes.

Irrelevant as it was months before the election and almost none of those scenarios are possible now.

I believe some here are missing the fact that they’re not going to let PDJT just walk away from this.

They have a blood lust now. They’ll prosecute him, his family, his lawyers, then his supporters. They believe their own hysteria “he is as bad as hitler and everyone must be made an example of”.

This isn’t going to end well, only because the far rabid left can’t leave it alone. I doubt we’ll get to the next election before the shtf.

I've been back and forth all day with that and concensus SEEMS to be .... the Senate has enough RINO'S, they may not be the sure thing we want.

We need Georgia to pad the senate more

Trump should start his own news channel and social media. Rush Limbaugh will be dead soon so Trump can take his place in the Conservative movement.

Except impeachment wasn’t the same as deliberately created election fraud. How are these elections going to suddenly be legitimate in 2022?

At first I thought I’d spare your feelings...., but NAH!

You can’t be Series!

You must just be trying to cause dissension in the ranks. So that makes you fair game.

Were you born YESTERDAY? I get it that we were not taught the constitution in school, but since the election there has been nothing but discussion after discussion about the procedures set forth in the constitution for the election of president and vice president.

Were you sleeping?, under a rock? or are you just a liberal causing trouble.

PRESIDENT TRUMP WON IN A LANDSLIDE ON NOV 3RD. PERIOD!

He IS the president, and will be the president for AT LEAST the next four years.

All the FRAUD is being exposed! January 20th is the only drop dead date proscribed in the constitution.

Trump has until 12 noon on the 20th of January to prove he won or at least that the election was RIGGED and NOT won by Biden.

If the results of the election are still in dispute on January 20th, the Speaker of the House will become the “temporary” president until the election dispute is resolved. Perhaps by an entire NEW election if necessary.

Thank you for that. Then, if I understand you right, the House as a group would never vote to reject the Biden electors, so it is all moot and unattainable, correct?
