[Vanity] How exactly does Trump still win?

Posted on 12/16/2020 5:33:14 PM PST by springwater13

With no disrespect, the electoral college has voted. The only other option is for Congress to vote against sitting a set of electors and that would require a Nancy Pelosi controlled House to vote for sitting Trump. You have a better chance of a meteor hitting Earth causing us to all go extinct like the Dinosaurs than Nancy Pelosi electing Donald Trump President.

I mean seriously, what is the play here? I don't get it.

Expose as much verifiable fraud as possible and get some Senators to object and have a debate.

It’s a long shot, but you’ve missed one thing.

In the House, the vote is by state. I believe the R’s control 26 states (i.e., have a majority of the Reps in that state). So, if it gets that far (and I share your doubts that it will), Nancy doesn’t control the vote in her usual party-line fashion.

How exactly does Trump still win?

At this point, it's not about Trump winning, it's about ensuring that the election process is saved. If Biden takes office, it's a fait accompli and the Republic is dead.

“I mean seriously, what is the play here?”

There isn’t one.

Absent a miracle of the Lord, it is over.

Start with arrests and releasing documents to the public. Force these politicians who are pretending the crime didn’t occur to sell out the criminals they know did it.

There’s no play. It’s basically the GOP version of the Russia business. Create a widespread impression of a grievance; nurture it in order to win future elections.

He doesn’t, there is absolutely nothing that is going to happen that will prevent Biden from taking the oath on January 20th.

This isn’t about “Trump”...it’s about freedom and a fraud free life.

This election is like every other one.

Only this time you, me, we are more sensitive to it.

We have someone in the white house who doesn’t lose. It kills him to lose. But if he loses he’ll lose .. actually.. quite gracefully.

As a business man he’s had failed businesses. He simply moves on without it really chapping his ass. This time is different though. It’s different because he worked really hard and lost through cheating.

For politics this is every day life. But for business this is war.

Politicians usually bow down because they are ready for other “do nothing / get paid” jobs that await them after the Oval Office. They don’t care. Trump cares and we care because of how much he cares.

Think of everything Trump has inspired in us in just 4 years. You think Ted Cruz would have us as passionate about our country ?

This time it hits hard, but don’t think this is unprecedented. This happens all the time. There are very few Democrats in the world. If it wasn’t for cheating we would only learn about them in history books.

I’m sure they said the same thing in Venezuela at one point. Wonder what they would say now that they can’t vote their way back out.

The only way I can see is for Trump to burn the effin village on his way out.

I want him to RUIN everybody. That would be a win.

“Create a widespread impression of a grievance; nurture it in order to win future elections.”

That’s what we are going to see. Once Trump is gone, swamp Repubs will “suddenly” discover widespread fraud and use it to delegitimize and weaken Biden.

“If only we had known!”

Too long to give it justice, but I'll try.

Congresspersons have the right to protest electoral votes. If one Senator and one Rep dispute a state's electoral vote(s), the two chambers, House and Senate, retire to their chambers to try and reconcile the dispute. If that doesn't happen, each chamber votes to confirm POTUS (Senate vote) and VPOTUS (House vote).

The rosiest scenario is that Senate picks Trump (based on a slim majority of Repubs in the Senate) and House selects Pence (based on each STATE (not each Rep) getting one vote. Repubs control more states, even though they have fewer Reps, so Pence wins.

I'm skeptical this would work. It's possible, but would take courage and solidarity, neither of which is in evidence in the GOP...

Embarrassing congress so the election is contested, then sending to the house where they vote by state, not individually and Trump wins 26-30 states.

I guess McConnell’s play here for 2022 is for suburban women who were tired out by Trump. Seems very coward like because the news cycle moves fast and nobody remembered or cared about impeachment 9 months later. Nobody is going to remember or care if a few senators protested and we had a day of debate about voter fraud in 2022. It would be a cathartic moment for the base though and would make them happy. So why not?
