get a doctors note?
The very utterance of my mouth is proof.
Thoughts?
What about a bandanna?
I think your two options are to get a doctor’s note, or just wear something loose fitting that allows you to breathe (besides seeking other employment)
How about a face shield? It does nothing but is visible evidence you are complying.
“Thoughts?”
Federal unemployment assistance is running out.

They own the ball, they own the bat, either play by their rules or leave the game. Find another job.
You can still be legal when you wear your mask on your forehead...
Grab a bat.
But that’s just me.
Demand a doctors note = hipaa violation?
Have a panic attack at work, and go on disability for 3 months...

Deny the request. If a request for modifications is denied, a state or local government agency or private business is encouraged to provide a written statement as to why the request was denied and provide a copy to the person with a disability, and keep a copy on file.
I'm 72
I have stage 3/4 COPD
I can't breathe worth jit
I have worn a mask 3 times since March (once in Lowes before I learned HIPAA Law and twice for my anal eye doctor), otherwise I brazenly walk into any store and no one says a thing
I use cheesecloth for a mask at work... Breathe right through..
Are you an at will hire?
If so, suck it up unless you’ve got another prospect handy.
If you’ve got an employment contract, seek out a conservative lawfirm for advice.
I start to feel lightheaded after breathing through a mask for more than a few minutes at a time. I also have asthma and anxiety issues. Which are normally under control, but not when I’m forced to spend a prolonged period being partially smothered.
Get a doctors note.
Keep a copy.
Don’t blame the boss/owner. He is only following state mandates.
We own 3 companies and require the employees to wear mask. Don’t want to get shut down or worse yet an employee comes down with chinese virus and then sues us for drumroll..not requiring employees to wear a mask.
We are screwed either way.
Meanwhile Publix is being sued for not letting a guy where a mask. At this point mask rules at work are like diversity training, just there to keep from getting sued. And yes it’s actually pretty common for somebody who says they have a medical condition that keeps them from following some corporate rule to get a doctor’s not, that basically puts you under ADA exemption. Again, so they don’t get sued. “We had to let him, he’s got a problem.”
