Told I may be asked to go home and provide proof of my anxiety condition to wearing masks

Wast just informed by my boss I will be asked to go home if I don't wear a mask while on premise.

Informed him of my anxiety condition and he said get a doctors note.

Informed him the are I work in is 900 Square feet and I am generally the only person in that office and "the rules" say I am exempt from a mask under those conditions.

"Go tell your king newsom but, that is the way it is" he replied.

"If you have to wear a mask at the grocery store, you can wear one at work" was another answer.

Mthfkr! When I go to a grocery store I am in and out. I don't shop for a full weeks groceries anymore because I cannot have that damn thing on for very long without getting highly anxious.

Regardless, you are imposing a draconian measure where there, even if this whole thing is a fraud, clear rules such as:

If you are interacting with another person and within six (6) feet of each other.

If you cannot maintain a distance of more than six (6) feet you are required to wear a mask.

and On and On

1. I do not work near anyone at all. Colleagues are in another room. My desk is 25-30 feet away from my office door.

2. I do not have to interact with them to even do my job.

3. I can totally do my job out of the office. One wonders why they handed me a laptop and a cell phone.

I completed an order just the other day without coming to the office.

Provide proof of my anxiety?

The very utterance of my mouth is proof.

Get some "masks". They sell incredibly thin disposable masks. You hardly know you are wearing one.

I think your two options are to get a doctor’s note, or just wear something loose fitting that allows you to breathe (besides seeking other employment)

How about a face shield? It does nothing but is visible evidence you are complying.

They own the ball, they own the bat, either play by their rules or leave the game. Find another job.

This is expensive, but I wouldn't hesitate. If your doctor prescribes something like it, it could be a medical expense.

This is the N95 graded filter face mask with a built-in electric fan that draws in air, making it easier to breathe while wearing than typical filtered masks.

Get a paintball mask/protector to wear. Sort of like SS mesh. But it covers your mouth and nose. Probably doesn’t impede your inhaling and exhaling. We bought some plastic shields from PROTEX.com that attach to our glasses. Only a couple places don’t allow them. Even if you don’t wear glasses, buy some readers and pop the lenses out. Best wishes.

Deny the request. If a request for modifications is denied, a state or local government agency or private business is encouraged to provide a written statement as to why the request was denied and provide a copy to the person with a disability, and keep a copy on file.

I had to wear one for a significant amount of time not long ago. I chose a biker's mask, figuring if they wear them cycling they must be easy to breathe in. After I while I forgot I had it on. Walked all the way to my car before I realized I still had it up.

I'm 72
I have stage 3/4 COPD
I can't breathe worth jit
I have worn a mask 3 times since March (once in Lowes before I learned HIPAA Law and twice for my anal eye doctor), otherwise I brazenly walk into any store and no one says a thing
