Eating just ONE egg a day increases your risk of diabetes by 60 per cent, study warns

Eating just one egg a day increases your risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 60 per cent, according to a new study.

Australian researchers who studied a sample of 8,545 Chinese adults found a positively correlation between higher egg consumption and high blood sugar levels in Chinese adults.

Eggs are versatile and nutritious and are promoted as a 'healthy fast food' in the UK, but have proved the ultimate conundrum for diabetes researchers.

Previous studies have indicated that eating eggs can actually keep diabetes at bay, adding a confusing mix of scientific literature to the debate.

This new research suggests regular consumption of an egg a day – either boiled, scrambled, poached or fried – makes you more prone to the condition, which occurs when a person's blood sugar is too high.

In other news scientists report that saliva causes throat cancer. But only when swallowed in small amounts over a long period of time.

Statistical research came up with this correlation, not in the lab studies of any kind. This is the same statistical modelling that keeps predicting millions of COVID deaths if we don’t lock down again.

My Grandmother smoked unfiltered Camel Cigs, drank Bloody Mary’s or Screwdrivers daily, ate Eggs daily and damned near raw Hamburger meat as in screaming hot pan put burger in it and pickup spatula, flip it and remove to consume. Raised 5 children by herself, made bombs for WWII. She lived to the age of 103. Based on that I don’t give a rats azz about what these food testers spew.

She also traveled around the World in Her spare time.

Another study. I’ll put it in my file with all the other studies. Thank goodness for recycling.

“Bull crap. Nor buying the latest dietary chicken littling.”

Let me help you with that: Bull Shit - until they can state the MECHANISM that turns eggs into diabetes machines, they care full of shiite.

What I know is that eggs have ZERO carbs, which is about the BEST type of food one can eat, if they want to avoid diabetes. Go eat one of those new-fangled veggie burgers, loaded with carbs, if you really want to contract diabetes.

“D-Life (a site for diabetics) always said that eggs were the perfect food for those with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. So which is it? Eggs good or eggs bad?”

Eggs are fine, your site is correct. This is the kind of garbage that makes conservatives and anyone else with half a brain question EVERYTHING that the media claims.

It’s not the egg, it’s the donuts they eat WITH the egg.

“I’ve eaten almost 30 eggs a week for the better part of two decades. Why am I not dead?”

Same here. I’m an Orthodox Jewish guy who was in the military for a long time (still reserves) and worked out since I was a kid.

Cheap protein is hard for a Jewish guy — eggs, dairy, fish making up the bulk.

I’ve been eating 5-6 eggs a day for 30+ years.

“I thought it was basically sugar that gave you type 2 diabetes?!?!?...Hoping someone can explain.”

It’s carbs, and sugar is one of them. So are most types of bread, noodles, and potatoes. Do your best to stay away from them (I know, there’s some delicious food in that category).

Egg beaters don’t have any yellow in them. No yolk.

“BS - there’s a giant move to get us off of real meat and protein and onto soy and carbs - a slave’s diet - probably for “sustainability””

Yep, you’re DEAD ON, expect to hear the same from our incoming masters - to ‘save the planet’. We have to be strong and hold out against their propaganda. There will likely always be meat, even if it soon doubles in price - but then, as long as most people believe our incoming masters, we’ll be able to buy the much healthier, fat-laden, varieties, still at a great discount.

Exactly...

It’s not the eggs it’s the toast with jelly and the hashbrown potatoes you eat with them...

Yeah, I keep seeing these ads for fake chicken pieces parts-parts pieces called “incogmeato” and then there’s Burger Kings “fake whoppers”.

If I want to eat veggies, I’ll eat veggies. The same for Soy Beans or Tofu I’ll buy them.

“It’s like they’re trying to kill people that listen to them.”

Get them alone and ask, and they’ll tell you that there’s simply TOO MANY PEOPLE for this planet to ‘sustain’. In some countries that may well be true, but that’s not who they’re targeting for ‘reduction’, as going after Third World populations wouldn’t do well in their ‘circles’.

So, guess what, us Westerners are a far easier target, especially since many of us (although, apparently, not many here!) will actually believe them.
