Sharon Stone says that looks matter.
You dont even realize how much [looks] matter until they start to go, Stone, who stars in the new Netflix drama Ratched, a prequel to One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, told the Telegraph in a newly released interview.
Its a big, fat stupid lie if anyone says that they dont, the Beverly Hills resident says.
Thats why Stone, 62, is disciplined about maintaining her trim physique, despite COVID-19 restrictions.

In her business for sure.
UHHHHH....I think you are confused and thinking about 20 years ago.
Today we are obsessed with ‘body positivity’ and transgenderism. Where beauty pageants must have quotas. Where the fat ugly tattooed feminist and male with his penis cut off and wearing a wig is elevated above the supermodels of yesteryear as the new ideal ‘beauty’ and you better agree.
I long for the days where we were obsessed with young and beautiful female models!
More things that matter...Intelligence matters Working hard matters Wisdom matters Attitude matters A good education matters Family matters Manners matter All lives matter
Yes it matters but if she hit every branch of the ugly tree falling down = no deal. Sharon Stone is 100% truth.
she’s a beauty but that’s not a flattering outfit. Kinda looks like a Hillary schmatta.
It's been true for a song as humans have been on this earth.
I’ve known for decades that looks matter. Duh.
Anyone that says otherwise is either fooling them-self bigly or a liar. Age, sex, looks, race ALL matter for pretty much everyone and every occupation.
Comb your hair. Lose some weight. don’t dress like a slob. It all affects how seriously people take you regarding first impressions. And first impressions are very difficult to change.
“Newman” is still sweating and stammering to this day.
>>We have become a culture that is obsessed with youth and beauty. Everyone wants to be age 22 or so for as long as they possibly can. If you are 55 (or whatever) and dont look like you are 22, then you are useless.<<
This has been true for generations. The difference is today you are not allowed to SAY it.
And it is also true that me are prized for looking “distinguished” when they age and can still get good looking, much younger women. Rarely is this true for women and in general older women are considered just old.
But you cannot fight biology and you cannot fight tastes. People like what they like and telling them “it is wrong for you to like that” is pissing up a rope.
Stephanie Zimbalist or Carolyn Dunn?

Lake all young men who have just gotten married, then meet some of their wife’s friends and you say...
“OMG! I wish I had met her before I met my wife!”
Then twenty years later you meet them again and say...
“OMG! I’m glad I DIDN’T meet them before I met my wife!
But there is always that one, who you again meet thirty years later and she is still as stunning as she was years before. Then you notice her husband is working three jobs to keep her in that lifestyle and you say...
“OMG! I wish I could have met her before I met my wife, but I’m glad I DIDN’T!”
Her comment is true about the world since Adam and Eve walked out of the Garden.
We want to be young, strong, good looking and in perfect health. We also have a preference to look at people and be surrounded by people who are like that.
That means that outwardly the tribe is able to take on any challenge that arises. Of course if they are all dumb as stumps, shallow or lazy then we have a problem. But those are internal qualities that you have to invest time and effort to see where as outward appearance is easy to evaluate.
True enough. But most people have always been peasants working a farm. Pretty girls could still catch the eye, but you don't get too many real stunners down on the farm among the peasants (hair, makeup, exercise machines, special diets, and fashion consultants being in short supply down on the farm).
Most of the time, the key factors were "Can she butcher a hog? And how is her apple pie?"
The looks were mostly a nice bonus, if they were there.
Many of the actresses of the 1930s and 40s continued to act and were still at the top of their game in old age.
Lauren Bacall
Maureen O’Hara
Katharine Hepburn
Debbie Reynolds
And many more.
But then, they had learned to “age” well in their movies.
Always thought she was beautiful. Loved her smoky voice. She was low key & classy.
Yep. It comes from the inside.
Call me crazy but I think that chubby comedienne Karen McCarthy - if that’s her name - who does all those comedies is one of the sexiest girls on the screen. I like natural women with lots of personality!
Yes she is. I really like her.
