Regardless of who is elected, it'll be civil war
World Net Daily ^ | 19 August 2020 | Erick Rush

With one exception, the wars in which the United States has engaged since its inception involved our nation against one or more external adversaries. That exception, the American Civil War (1861-1865), still elicits an emotional response among our citizens due to the inherent tragedy connected to a nation at war with itself – the whole "brother against brother" dynamic that is recalled whenever discussions of this conflict arise.

One less common aspect of our Civil War (as compared to other nations that have endured civil wars) is that America was geographically divided at the time by the Mason-Dixon line, which divided the Union and Confederate states. This more resembled traditional military conflicts with external adversaries, and has colored many Americans' idea of what a civil war is like. Unlike our Civil War, civil wars in most nations generally involve disparate or dissident factions fighting against each other and/or whatever regime is holding power.

I'm not going to say that what we've been experiencing over the last three months have been the first salvos of a civil war, but it sure looks like it. While hard-line socialists in the Democratic Party are working within the political infrastructure and behaving as though they are conducting the business of governance according to the rule of law and constitutionally established procedures, they are in fact in the process of fomenting civil war – or at least, they have made it apparent that they are willing to go that far if they are not able to gain ascendency via political means.

That is why we have to craft an argument that is unassailable to either side....

"The next war will be an actual civil war like the English or Spanish or Mexican"

I hope I'm wrong, but I think we as a people are much too well managed to ever be allowed an open revolt. Why would they risk letting things getting out of control when we are so happily allowing ourselves to be led down the path to bondage? If we start bitching about the pace they will just slow the march down a bit, but after seeing how easily we accepted the mask and lockdown mandates I'd be surprised if they aren't planning on picking the speed up a bit in the near future.

Nah. My guess? There won’t be a civil war if Trump wins. It will be a bunch of bombings, etc. like the Weather Underground was doing back in the 60s and 70s.

If Biden wins, it will just be another miserable grind down. Don’t think it will get to the organized shooting point.

Yikes.

I have a “suicide rock” on the ridge above me.

I avoid it, too.

all this talk about civil war as a big shootout is a bunch of fantasy, people will just wear their EVENT 201 masks and get in line

Exactly right. The herbivores formerly known as the Mercun Peepul will not gloriously rise up and patriotically fight. It's a fantasy.

No. Cumberland. But if you give me a good APR on a 20 year mortgage, I’ll take a 2BR cottage bayside. I’m a cheap date.

Being from the mountains, we’re a conservative enclave in an otherwise liberal state. Actually, if you eliminate Baltimore and the I-95 corridor, the state would be blood red. I bailed back in the late 90’s and wish I could have carpet bombed everything from National Harbor to Havre de Grace. But then I wouldn’t have needed to leave.

We are lazy and spoiled.....soft as butter

You are correct

1860 Americans were very different than now

Average southern male had martial instincts and was great on a horse and with firearms and a gentleman knew his edged weapons and this was the bulk of younger adult white southern males and it’s still like that

Yankees barring those exceptions on the frontier were less reflexive fighters by nature and culture but they were hardy immigrants and,¡llama, llll farmers and quick to learn and were by far superior seamen

When Trump is elected, some more riots.

If Biden elected, a lot of complaining and straining to get toward becoming accustomed to be in the field, unable to return home.

I am a Christian

No holy roller but rational

I know of no other explanation of our existence whereby the creator is thought to have created himself to come live and die as his children he created and to do so as a commoner with little fanfare and to die at the hands of those he created rather harshly and refrain from freeing himself from that pain instantly but rather to show he can do it too and so can we

And if we trust and believe in him we will live forever with him in happiness

Truly incredible happiness

Not riches or all the sex you can eat .....

Nobody else offers that

Hence I do not allow darkness into my world and believe what

I fear it

I know it exists ....I seen the handiwork in ways a
I’d rather forget in Haiti and Sierra Leone

The universe has supernatural entities who fallen from Gods grace and live to destroy us to hurt him

I prefer to give them no window

Hope that makes sense

A scholar on the topic

The Bible warns of Satan’s grave threat to humanity by referring to him as “the god of this age” (2 Corinthians 4:4) who “prowls” the earth “looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Demons are no less dangerous, as the Bible describes them as: “impure spirits” (Mark 1:27), “deceiving spirit[s]” (1 Kings 22:23), “the powers of this dark world” and “the spiritual forces of evil” (Ephesians 6:12), and as Satan’s “angels” (Revelation 12:9).
The Bible tells us that Satan and his demons can inflict harm on earth by:
Possessing people to cause them physical and spiritual harm (Matthew 12:22; Mark 5:1-20) and to make them do evil (Luke 22:3-4)
Blinding the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4)
Deceiving people by disguising themselves as “servants of righteousness” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15)
Promoting false doctrine (1 Timothy 4:1) and performing signs to deceive humans (Revelation 16:14)
Tormenting believers (2 Corinthians 12:7)
How Can Christians Resist Evil?

Yes, we are definitely a different people. It's a long process turning a strong, free people into pussified idiots but it's almost over. Another generation or two and no one will even remember what being a free man meant.

Liberty or death? Eff that man, have you seen the latest rap video?

Bread and  circuses  smartphones. Works every time.

After going through this thread, I can't believe the defeatism I'm reading here. Some make the point this not the 1800's when men were always willing to fight at the drop of a hat. I also don't believe a face to face 1860's civil war will occur.

However, there are thousands of combat experienced Veterans out there from our useless wars in the ME. Think clandestine, and the skill sets they have if pushed too far. There is more than one way to fight to restore our liberty. Think about the Swamp Rats in the revolution against King George. It's just a matter of targeting. Think scopes. I'm not suggesting anything here other than for defeatists to have nice day.

The silent majority will NEVER let this country go Marxist. If Biden wins, middle America as well as costal America will never sit still for it. IMHO
