“He just forgot when the Obama-Biden administration was in office.”
This is really sad. Scary actually. Possibly scary for the country.
IMO its all leverage to keep the Republicans (TRUMP) from exposing the corruption of the Soros/Clinton/ OBama / Kerry / Piglousy / Chi Fi/ Schumer administration. A lot of corruption was being done and being covered up by all involved. Money will buy anything Even to quiet a Bush team for generations. So will blackMALE. Even back to the BO birth certificate. NP signed off that he was legal. HRC put a hold at the achieve at OXFORD. And then theres the Saudi angle that they all are entangled in.
She is in a pickle She just cant do nothing to protect the people who gave her the power and money initially. She knows what happens to those who even hint they might. cooperate!
I would really appreciate an answer to whether the dims could impeach and then hold up the trial in the Senate.
I really am hoping that they wouldn’t be able to do that.
Mr. Publius do you know?
Justice Roberts is too compromised to be in charge of anything. He is NOT to be trusted !!
The House impeaches by a simple majority vote. The Senate tries the case and requires a two thirds vote for conviction and removal. Anything less than that is an acquittal.
Once the House votes to impeach, everything then shifts to the Senate. At that point, Sen. McConnell is in charge. The Senate Democrats are "jurors" along with Senate Republicans, but they have no other power. Chief Justice Roberts presides.
I would seem that his 6th amendment rights would apply to a trial in the Senate, doesn't it?
I can see why some argue the "speedy trial" clause doesn't apply to an impeachment hearing in the House as criminal charges have not been made at that point.
But once the House votes to impeach they are actually leveling criminal charges at the impeached person and 6th amendment protections should apply.
That's my Humble Opinion!
But democrats are making the rules up as they go along and the Constitution be damned as far as they are concerned!
.
I've been searching the 'net but have not yet come up with clear answer.
Of course if democrats drag out the impeachment hearing and don't vote on it until mid summer or later a speedy trial becomes a moot point .
Imagine republicans having to run an impeachment trial in the final moths of a presidential campaign!
Heck - that may very well be Pelosi's plan after all!
.
“That’s my Humble Opinion!”
But I like it, so we will just say it is fact. That’s how the Democrats have been operating!
It’s a speedy and public trial, had to Google cuz I knew I got something wrong.
Thank you for this info.
There are a few on thread that have felt the House will impeach and then will hold it, not send to the Senate for trial.
See this:

My question is could this happen or will it automatically go to the Senate for trial?
26% of National Democratic Likely Voters approve of the job @POTUS is doing on the same morning @SpeakerPelosi announces the drafting of Articles of Impeachment.

“Once the House votes to impeach, everything then shifts to the Senate.”
That sounds like the answer. Once the house has a vote it is out of their hands.
So I guess the question is will the Republicans hold it up? I’m sure quite a few of them have self interest at heart more than the country.
But as soon as Articles of Impeachment are voted by the House and delivered to the Senate, the trial begins and all other work stops.
Post 1132.
One other thing. The Senate has the right to dismiss the charges of impeachment by a majority vote and refuse to hold a trial. However, this has never happened in the past.

That was beautiful, Kellyanne! Bravo!
Thanks for posting.
Who should set the direction of the country until the next national elections in 2020 President Trump or House Speaker Nancy Pelosi?
Trump 45%
Pelosi 40%
