Just ate a plant based "impossible whopper" from Burger King. They got the texture of a burger right but the burger leaves a nasty after taste and a nasty after smell.
But, but bugs have feelings, too!!!!!!
Maybe its the shit burger some Japanese scientist was working on years ago...
Hey.. that's the same thing my son said to me when I told him I bought a Taurus...
The famous Hyundai Super Bowl commercial that angry vegans got changed...

I won’t eat at a place that serves this fake food.
In the mid-70s I bought a package of ‘imitation breakfast ham.’ It was a soy product. The first such veggi-imitating-meat I ever tried. The smell was ham-like. The taste was ham-like. The texture was what ruined it. The texture was gritty, grainy, and stringy. It was awful.
That was my first and last attempt at trying ‘imitation’ meat.
Since that time, I have never gone into a store and trying to find corn that tastes like pork or carrots that taste like sausage or celery that tastes like chicken. I just don’t see the point in buy ‘imitation meat’ products.
The cows welcome them.
“Ummm no thanks. In fact Im eating a Daves Double from Wendys right now. The only after smell which is very fragrance are the fries and my burger. Nothing weird.”
Except you are eating a square meat padddy....

Odd that you should mention that. I was in a BK that Ive visited occasionally for 30+ years. Nothing unusual ever until then. A couple of days ago a client made me go there. I entered and noticed a smell very much like that. Im surrounded by dairy farms for miles, Ive become quite familiar with the smell. I thought someone had maybe done something in the store so I moved around and no, couldn’t escape the smell. As soon as I walked out it was gone again.
a nasty after taste and a nasty after smell.
Hmmm...”
I ain’t feeding that to my dog! I rent her out to painters to peel the paint off of walls.
Seeing that Vegans, like the rest of us, have more in common with animals than with plants, it is hard not to suspect they are showing a gross amoral favoritism by unloading the entire burden for their nutritional needs onto plants.
I actually did go look right after posting my What’s in it??

Just heard about these really incredible plant based burgers. They’re made totally from plants; primarily grass, hay, and corn. Even more amazing is these plant based burgers actually can make more plant based burgers all on their own, provided you give them sufficient plant material and water.
I met the guy who did the voiceover for the commercial way back for Olestra-the magic fake-fat for potato chips and the like, in which he had to do the disclaimer at the end that said “possible side effects include... gas with oily discharge.” He couldn’t believe he was doing this line. Probably the grossest thing out there (if oh-so-briefly), until this Frankenburger crap. My healthy-food friends, including my wife, will go nowhere near anything so tortuously hyper-processed as this stuff is. Let your veggies be veggies. Let your meat be meat. Eat whatever the hell you want, but keep it real, ya Bozos!
Great, then I will give it a try. I’m on a very low purine diet as I suffer from the gout and am only allowed 1 (6 oz.)portion of beef or pork per week. And I hope this will satisfy my burger cravings.I’m getting tired of just chicken & whitefish for supper.
Care to share recipe? Sounds good. I tried tofu a few times. Kind of was like eating some cubes of tasteless rubber foam
Now we have a combination of emotional and political drivers of meat substitutes, pitting a soy-based product (Impossible) against a relatively new arrival: Pea protein isolate (Beyond).
Guess what: They say pea protein isolate is safe.
Go figure. Anyone who reads this GRAS notice and both doesn't understand the GRAS process nor the language utilized to describe the chemical processing has no business extolling glowing opinions on the so-called 'food' referred to as 'pea protein'.

Fair warning: If you all desire to eat fake, highly-processed food out of desperation to feel better, I'll be damned if I'm going to share in your medical costs down the road resulting from your poor choices. I reversed my enlarged prostate symptoms, sleep soundly a solid 8 hours without having to pee most nights and can pee an arc as good as I did at 25 now at >50. I did that and a LOT more in spite of modern medicine and without fake foods. I'm confident that I will not be a statistic.
The rest of you guys, however...soy, pea, whey or whatever fake (e.g. gluten free) food you ingest isn't doing much to reduce your risk. As the wind blows, we're now being conditioned to believe that prostate cancer is inevitable; that's much more than tragic.
Something's gotta change. I doubt my book(s) will make much impact, but I will definitely be saying ITYS ad nauseam from here until eternity the way things are going (as I've predicted).
