I just got a call from Windflier's wife, he has taken
a downturn from a pre-existing problem and is pretty
much bedridden and not eating.
He has stage 4 Squamous cell carcinoma which I had to look up:
Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second most
common form of skin cancer. It's usually found on
areas of the body damaged by UV rays from the sun or
tanning beds. Sun-exposed skin includes the head,
neck, chest, upper back, ears, lips, arms, legs, and
hands. SCC is a fairly slow-growing skin cancer.
I'm told he's in good spirits but is now "resistant"
to further medical treatment. Because he's stubborn.
Prayers for him and the family would be appreciated.

Windy is a good man. Praying for his recovery.
My wife makes me these high octane shakes that I drink once a day. Plus, I've got a case of a drink called Meal Replacement that I drink a couple times a day.
Eating is tough, but there are some things I'm still able to get down.

I really didn’t want to hear this disturbing news about you Windflier....shook me a lot as I know you’ve been fighting this and all it entails for long time now. I wish I could find words to express what I’m feeling but I just can’t.... So I’ll pray and hope the words will come.....
Lord Jesus,
We can’t begin to know what Windflier must be feeling or what he’s endured and enduring even now,...we just know we love Him and want you to do what is needed to bring him comfort and relief from this dastardly ordeal. If anything more medically effective can be done we ask that you reveal this.... and Father stifle any resistance ‘mulehead’ might buck against so that your will is accomplished not his!
Thank you Lord for giving us Windflier to pray with and for....he’s one of the best in our gatherings!

I remember well the great photos you guys shared on FR of these trips....that’s actually how I got to know you folks better and enjoyed looking at those photos a lot! Not to mention all the food and ‘cooks’ there Humble Gunner!
I wonder if Windflier knows there’s a lot of people here who read his posts they just don’t always respond by writing....
He’s posted more than a few that enlarged my understanding on issues, and other times engaged me personally enough to steer me rightly. He is a most honorable and well respected man! Fair to say we love the guy!

Prayers sent for all involved
Very sorry to hear that Windflier is having trouble. Like to think of all our people here being in good health. When someone isn’t, it’s truly sad to hear.
I’d like to include him in my prayers. God is capable of anything. There are times when we hope He will find it reasoned to help our loved one’s lives be extended.
I hope this will be such a time.
That will be in my prayers. I will ask for him to be comfortable and absent pain as much as is possible.
