During the lecture, titled "Coconut Oil and other Nutritional Errors," Karin Michels has made herself very clear with regard to dietary recommendations, and underlined that coconut oil is not healthy. Its superfood status had already come under scrutiny last year after the American Heart Association (AHA) updated its guidelines, which recommended that people avoid the saturated fatty acids found in coconut oil. Michels went a step further than to recommend avoiding the foodstuff, saying "coconut oil is pure poison" and "is one of the worst foods you can eat." There's no study showing significant health benefits to coconut-oil consumption. And, according to Michels, coconut oil is more dangerous than lard because it almost exclusively contains saturated fatty acids, ones that can clog the coronary arteries. You can identify fats that contain large quantities of saturated fatty acids by checking to see whether they remain solid at room temperature, as is the case with butter or lard

Coconut water is not the same as coconut pulp which gives coconut oil.
Otherwise, I agree, all these latests nutrition fads and claims from the “professors” are certified hogwash.
She is an idiot! If it’s a poison why does she call it a food?

She’s against Coconut because one dropped on her head when she was at the beach
Oh, no. Not the coconut-oil-will-kill-you thing again. I remember last time when this happened. Rush covered it OFTEN, for the ridiculousness of it all. Maybe 15-20 years ago?
I’ve become so distrustful after everything I’ve learned about the various forms of medical marijuana that I see these people as not much better (and maybe worse) than the MSM. If they say it’s bad, it’s probably cutting into their profit.
Makes me want to start using coconut oil.
Coconut oil works very well to make heavy glass siding doors to move easier. We just had our windows/glass doors professionally cleaned.
We have 3 large/heavy triple glass sliding doors which got harder to close or open, so I asked the cleaner what he recommended for the sticking sliding doors.
He recommended coconut oil.
Step 1. Vacuum the dirt/crud from the slider rails.
Step 2. Clean the rails with some of the new wipes.
Step 3. Let the slider rails dry and then add the coconut
with a rag. Slide the doors and add more oil where
the door sticks.
Step 4. The next day and clean the rail with the wipes and
add more coconut oil. Works better if it is warm
outside.
Every 2-3 weeks or when needed repeat #1-#4.
We have found a healthy use of our coconut oil.
I’ll keep my cold pressed coconut oil, just the same.
Here’s a little things that impressed me about it:
You know how your stove gets stuck-on gunk around the burners? No matter how much you clean it it just gets ring of cooked oil?
Same thing when you cook with other fats - it gets sticky and gummy.
The first time I bought and used coconut oil I noticed after a few weeks that the rings of burnt oils on my stove were disappearing. The only thing different was the coconut oil, so I used some to clean the stove, and wouldn’t you know it straight up removed those cooking rings from a 20 year old stove top.
I might be wrong, but I figure if coconut oil can do that for a stove it ought be working wonders in my body.
Coconut pieces deep fried in coconut oil and salted is like what popcorn wishes it could be. It’s amazingly delicious when done properly.
On a coconut macaroon recipe site, a woman blogged she almost died, was in I/C for three days.
Her whole system shut down after she pigged out on coconut macaroons.
Coconut has a property that absorbs bodily fluids as its being digested.
On cans of coconut water there is now a cautionary note that the product can cause severe constipation.
Have you tried using a Mounds bar in Someores (sp?)

A guy like that can wear a “man-bun” and not look the least bit pooftery.
“Most doctors are clueless about diet.”
But not money. This one said, “Hmm, which item should I choose as THE culprit to lecture on, so I can make some loot off these suckers?!?”
Is that why so many Filipina are cane pole thin untill the move here, all that poison coconut oil?
My dad died of lung cancer...at the age of 64....He smoked for prolly 49 years...
