Internet ‘crawler’ programs probing around the world wide web seeking out data on websites or looking for vulnerable computers or placing data data on websites. Various information companies use these crawler bots to build large databases on a variety of topics. Google is the leader in this effort. Some others include Twitter, Facebook, Yelp, etc.
The term bot is also disparagingly attached to human beings who have been so convinced, read “brainwashed”, into believing something they are fanatical about those beliefs to the extent they spout back the programed talking points and are unreachable to any approach of logic to change that viewpoint. There is no reason such a bridge could not be combined with GPS data, scraping information, data requests, messaging, etc.
