While North Korea launched a very provocative missile right over the northern island in Japan, something even worse happened to me right here in America.
Another little kitten adopted me.
It came right up and demanded I take it home.
Dammit all.
Now I have three.
Alpha: Male.
Beta: Female.
As it should be.
YES that’s WRONG. Bad Laz. BAD BAD BAD.
I'm sorry.
I'll never do it again.
Until next time.
Those poor kitties - someone needs to get a clue and give them a litter box. The blanket their crawling on looks like its loaded with poop.
So, is Newbie going to be ‘Gamma’?
It’s trying to locate or be located by mom.
All kittens mew, especially in a new environment. He/she will grow out of it. Give Half Pint a little time.
The nighttime meeping will continue for a few days. It’ll go away shortly.
Their little brains are barely wired. They meep all the time.
I have reason to believe my new kitten is a member of Antifa.
Oh, you poor cat newbie, you have no idea. Kitty overlords is not just a funny internet meme. ;^)
Ok, after checking the other posts, no one mentioned it.
You need to keep the kitten separate from the others until it’s had a feline leukemia/feline AIDS test. If it’s healthy and you want to get it vaccinated, don’t bother with the AIDS shot. It doesn’t work all that well, thought the Leukemia vaccine does. All of our cats get that one but not the AIDS. Another problem with that vaccine is the cat will test positive for AIDS the rest of its life.
If your cats stay inside all the time and you don’t feel the need for the vaccines, you at least need to know the lil darling is healthy and won’t infect your other two.
As for the mewling, it should stop soon. Poor baby is just scared. Been through the ordeal numerous times (is THAT an understatement!) and they calm down pretty quickly.
I hope the new behbeh tests healthy and has a long, happy life with you and the other two kittehs. And we’re still waiting for a pic of the lil darlin’. :-)
Got the Feline leukemia angle completely covered, but I thank you for your post!
Where did you get my duster and who is that guy wearing it?
Good to know!
It’s shocking, and infuriating, how many people don’t even think about it.
I know someone who started with one kitten.
Now there are nine.
I never pictured you as a ‘cat lady’ man, Laz.
Admission is a first step.
“Should I keep it or should I adopt it out?”
It has already imprinted, Laz. It only takes 15 minutes or so.
You’re stuck with kitteh, who will likely become lap kitteh.
Just about the goofiest damn hats I’ve ever seen on a heterosexual male.
You know the old saying....dogs have owners, but cats have staff.
I named the kitten Gizmo, because he has the dark brown and white-patch coloring of Gizmo from the movie Gremlins.
He's integrated well into the house. Lisa is starting to actually like him already... she likes to play and Zippy does NOT PLAY.
Zippy tolerates Gizmo, which is a lot better than I expected.
I caught them all three sleeping in very close proximity on my bed. BUSTED.
Gizmo enjoys attacking the following items: A rug, a small scrap of paper, a blanket, imaginary items in the air, hair, nothing at all, couches, and string.
As promised, pictures of Gizmo. He actually looks a lot like Gizmo from the movie.
