Jamie Oliver is urging U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to take a greater stand for better food.
While speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday, the 41-year-old celebrity chef expressed his concern for the fate of First Lady Michelle Obamas beloved White House vegetable garden once Trump takes term on Friday.
Theres a symbolic visual, Oliver said during the discussion. If you cut down that garden then youre cutting down hope. And he aint going to do that, whether he believes in it or not.
I think when you know the basics of growing and cooking, I think youre a better human, the Food Revolution star noted. I want to see Donald Trump growing some stuff and cooking some stuff. It want to see it. Because if not, Im building my bunker.

Put the tent for the press there
As I said a couple of months ago, he needs to get rid of that puny garden and make a magnificent one on the White House grounds.
Mooch was pulling pre-staged veggies from the ground for photo ops
This putz should start building his bunker
and stock it with foies gras and perrier
Jamie, go mind your own pots. The White House staff is sick of taking care of that photo op spot.
Would rather see sheep or goats brought back so the lawn crew could be cut, sure they would eat all those veggies up.
“Put the tent for the press there”
Forget the tent.... just plant the press in the vegie garden and it will be come a fruit orchard.
Bulldoze it and put in a putting green.
Is the chef a US citizen? If not, what right does he have to chime in on our affairs? Does Andrew Zimmern tell the president of Nigeria how to run the presidential palace?
If you cut down that garden then youre cutting down hope. And he aint going to do that, whether he believes in it or not.
I see that Jamie is a master at the art of persuasion.
Tell her to take it with them
Plow the damned thing under !!!
And Oliver is a freaking moron, who doesn't even know that Ivanka has a veggie garden at her summer house in N.J., that she and her kids actually plant and use the veggies from!
Hey, Jamie, we’re not under British rule these days. From his wiki page, “In 2014, Oliver’s central London butchery Barbecoa was voluntarily closed for 24 hours after hygiene inspectors gave it the second lowest rating. The Times reported they had found mouse droppings, mouldy carcasses and out-of-date meat.”
It has always reminded me of Marie Antoinette’s little pretend farm:

Sometimes the aristocracy wants to pretend to farm or be a dairy maid.
We don’t need BS such as that garden as an obstacle, a talking point to waste the extremely important time of our president.
Have the grounds keepers turn that garden under, and get on with the business of running the country.
