World Famous Scientist: God Created the Universe

‘The final resolution could be that God is a mathematician.’

Michio Kaku has made a name for himself as a world-leading theoretical physicist unafraid to speak his mind.

Kaku, the Henry Semat Chair and Professorship in theoretical physics at the City College of New York, has published more than 70 articles in physics journals on topics such as supersymmetry, superstring theory, supergravity, and hadronic physics.

His latest claim is likely to make waves in the world of science.

“I have concluded that we are in a world made by rules created by an intelligence”, Kaku says in a video produced by Big Think. “To me it is clear that we exist in a plan which is governed by rules that were created, shaped by a universal intelligence and not by chance.”

Big Think, a media site launched in 2007, has been described as YouTube for ideas. But it’s actually more like TED.

You can watch the video and see for yourself why Kaku believes science points to an intelligent creator who formed the universe. (I’m certainly not going to try to explain it.)

Reasoning aside, Kaku’s conclusion is pretty is clear.

“The final solution resolution could be that God is a mathematician,” says Kaku. “The mind of God, we believe, is cosmic music. The music of strings resonating through 11-dimensional hyperspace.”

Sidetrack:

The current order of the books of the New Testament is gospels, then longest book to shortest and then Revelation on the end.

This is a chronological order for the books:

James - 50 A.D.
First Thessalonians - 52-53.
Second Thessalonians - 52-53.
Galatians - 55.
First Corinthians - 57.
Second Corinthians - 57.
Romans - 57-58.
Philippians - 62-63.
Colossians - 62-63.
Philemon - 62-63.
Ephesians - 62-63.
Luke - 63.
Acts - 64.
First Timothy - 65.
Titus - 65.
Second Timothy - 66.
Mark - 66.
Matthew - 67.
Hebrews - 67.
First Peter - 67-68.
Second Peter - 68.
Jude - 68.
Apocalypse - 68.
John - c. 85.
Epistles of John - 90-95.

Although, I suspect that since the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of the temple is never mentioned in the Bible, that all of the books were written before 70 AD.

Reading the epistles in chronological order makes them much clearer.

LOL. No, Kaku did. He probably still has the show.

He’s a smart dude even if he does believe in string theory.

So you prefer your quantum theory loopy, not stringy?

My dad was friends with some scientist that during WWII was involved with developing radar. The guy was also a strong Christian. My dad (also Christian) asked him if his knowledge of science ever got in the way of his faith.

“Oh no - quite the opposite! The more I learn about the physics of the earth, the more I learn about God who created it.”

nice post, but this is what caused me to rethink the times.
it is “photosynthesis” Hashem created the plant kingdom on the 3rd day and then he created our sun on the 4th day.
Plants need light every 24 hours, if the days are more than 24hrs they will die. The 4th day couldn’t have been more than 24hrs. The reference to a day is as a thousand years are for prophecy. In Hosea 6:2 and John 11:6, 2 days are referenced and linked to messiah came in the 4000th year and after 2 more thousand years (2days) he will come again.
we are in the 5 thousandth year of the world, the 6000th year will happen on a Rosh Ha Shanna.

God calls those who do not believe fools.

I was reminded of that listening to a Stephen Hawking explanation of the universe coming from "nothing" and eventually returning to "nothing". The crux (forgive the pun) of his argument was that "Nature hates a vacuum/nothingness", therefore, something is produced. Believing that something came from nothing and returns to nothing goes so far beyond any rationale that it is absurd. I can accept that "Energy" might create matter as matter can release energy, but stating that nothing can produce something requires more faith in nothingness than I can comprehend.

I much prefer the explanation in the first chapter of John: In the beginning was the Word....". The Word is the Greek principle of "logos". It's a first principle or Thought becoming Matter.

Isaiah 40:22

He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

Thanks! Knowledge is increasing, just as Daniel recorded.

Strictly speaking, a day is an “evening and a morning” so we don’t have to worry about the time period. If the first creation story is how the “types” or “kinds” were set up, similar to setting up an Object-Oriented Computer Program, then the instantiations, speaking things into existance, can come afterward, and the “chicken-or the egg” problem is avoided. Make the plan, execute the plan.

In any event, He is the potter, we are the clay. Not much point in questioning His design or motives. Just be glad he cares enough about us to want us to be with him for eternity!

Shalom!

“Michio Kaku” Famous? I never heard of this person before.

You don't pay much attention to astronomy.

Job 26:7 He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.

Nelson, Thomas (2009-02-18). Holy Bible, New King James Version (NKJV) (p. 511). Thomas Nelson. Kindle Edition.

No Atlas, elephants, or tortoises. Just hung the earth on nothing.

“You don’t pay much attention to astronomy.”

True. But I do look at the stars when I’m out using the hot tub at night! It’s amazing on a clear cold night to shut off all the lights in the house and sit in the water looking up at the stars. I never knew how beautiful the sky was until we moved away from the big city to the high country!

No kidding. On a good night, I can see the Milky Way. On many nights, I can watch satellites.

Michio Kaku is a professional astronomer, and does a good job presenting it to non-scientists. He's a nut on a couple of topics, but I'm inclined just to ignore him on them.

I watched Hawking’s special about whether God exists. It was apparent to me that Hawking was not only determined to prove that God didn’t exist, but he fudged the facts to reach that conclusion.
