Ted Cruz and his allies are preparing for the coming National GOP Convention. According to NBC News, Cruz who recently attended a GOP convention in Texas told his supporters that the days ahead will be "challenging" for the Republican Party. He, however, expressed hope that those who remain loyal to him and the party "will be the remnant, will be the core of pulling this country back from the abyss."
Aside from this pronouncement, [he] has remained mum about whether he will throw his support for presumptive nominee Donald Trump. According to the NBC report, the support of Cruz and his allies in Texas is needed by Trump if he is squaring off with Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton for the presidential elections. A Texan party elder, Steve Munisteri said that "Ted Cruz has led a national movement, a conservative movement. We certainly need solid conservatives to be behind our nominee [Trump.]"
... Cruz and his allies in the Republican Party are EYEING TO CONTINUE THEIR FIGHT TO RUN THE PARTY. Despite his failure to win over Trump, ... he is still hoping that when he attends the National Convention,... he will be able to bring about key changes in how the party governs itself and picks its presidential nominee. Aside from changes in rules, the party will also be working out its "official policy platform" as well as "determine how much power the RNC has to make new rules of its own."
>>The key discussion points, which will also be the likely flash points during the convention, will include CLOSED PRIMARIES. THIS MEANS DOING AWAY WITH OPEN PRIMARIES AND THE "CONSCIENCE CLAUSE," which will RELEASE CONSERVATIVE DELEGATES FROM SUPPORTING THE PRESUMPTIVE DELEGATE, should that delegate represent views that contradict theirs or the party.

Thank you! Stealing it! The “I’m An Ass” .gif that is!
“What did Cruz apologize to Carson for? “
For not being aware of Carson’s statement hours later that he was not dropping out.
Cruz called Carson that night and tried to make amends even offering a public apology but Carson took the low road.
Cruz NEVER said Carson was dropping out.
Not me, right?
“The Canadian born son of a Cuban father has ZERO chance of ever being US President. Even if the Republicans dobt reject him the Democrats will nullify him.”
GO AWAY Tead!
I want to see him bound & gagged wearing the red mountie costume with a cuban cigar. Can’t stand his condescending tone or smirk.
“Turns out no power corrupts absolutely too.”
Ha ha. Good one. I laughed out loud.
His people did all over the state. Is Cruz not responsible for his staff?
Ha, I’ve heard, “He’s all hat, and no cattle!”
Apparently, He’s got neither.
needs to remain
“He’s all boots, and no electors”
Ted Cruz: “I am still the king of voterless states!”
Carson's denial that he was dropping out happened in minutes, not hours on Twitter. Check the time line, you've been lied to.
Thirty years a cowboy and never stepped in sh*t!
Watch California’s primary election, the candidate chooses his own loyal delegates bound officially through the first vote. 172 delegates, 53 CDs
“The selection of Presidential Nominating Convention Delegates to the Republican National Convention ... shall be chosen by the Presidential candidate who obtained the plurality of Republican votes within each Congressional district, and, for ... at large ... by the Presidential candidate who obtained the plurality of Republican votes statewide. [Standing Rules and Bylaws of the California Republican Party As Amended 20 September 2015 Article VI Section 6.01 (A)]”
“His people did all over the state.”
His people did what?
I love it!
It was a shot over the bow, and it worked!
Ted shocked everyone and jumped out of the race! Left the GOP hanging!
So how’s he gonna spend the $9,562,000 he had on hand the day he dropped out?
There you go again, all this handwringing over what you, without providing anything to back up your opinion, think may have happened, if this or whatabout that. This article is a jumbled mess of what ifs. Has Ted issued any statements saying that he was planning on changing the rules for THIS convention that would preclude Trump from being the nominee? Has he made any statement that he is planning to run in 2020? The answer to both questions is no. He has said he is planning to run for reelection in 2018 and he thinks he has some better ideas on how to run the convention. Whether the convention ideas are better is open for debate. You read some articles that make up some sensational and misleading headlines, that pick up on the same Politico piece claiming that Ted is going to take over the world. And the handwringing continues. This is a crazy distraction from what the real agenda right now should be; defeating Hillary. Trump needs ALL the votes he can get and the incessant hit pieces on Ted, and then the attempted flogging of anyone who calls for taking a deep breath and dares not be as outraged as NeverCruz thinks they should be ain’t winning anyone over to Trump.
Psst, I heard that Beautiful Gracious Skies is a Jeb troll who is trying to outmaneuver Cruz outmaneuver Trump at the convention and by making all these off the wall accusations about Ted is making sure the spotlight is off Jeb (haha, as if that is a problem) so he can get his 89 delegates from Florida to take over the national convention. Crazy conspiracy theories are kind of fun, but that’s all they are.
You’ve done a great job of making us all aware that Politico thinks Ted is going to crash the convention. Thanks. It’s an interesting theory. If it actually does happen it’s going to take a lot more than posting about it here and calling your reps to reverse it.
Here’s a curious scenario: Ted Cruz crashes the convention, somehow gets enough delegates to change the rules for this convention and in so doing becomes the republican nominee. Do you vote for him to keep Hillary out? Or are you NeverCruz and allow Hillary to sail into office? I think this is about as likely of happening as the nonsense above about Jeb.
Canceling open primaries is a decent idea.
Ted should keep his big fat yap shut for a while.
Ted lost closed primaries aplenty.
I am so sick of this self-centered village idiot.
