There you go again, all this handwringing over what you, without providing anything to back up your opinion, think may have happened, if this or whatabout that. This article is a jumbled mess of what ifs. Has Ted issued any statements saying that he was planning on changing the rules for THIS convention that would preclude Trump from being the nominee? Has he made any statement that he is planning to run in 2020? The answer to both questions is no. He has said he is planning to run for reelection in 2018 and he thinks he has some better ideas on how to run the convention. Whether the convention ideas are better is open for debate. You read some articles that make up some sensational and misleading headlines, that pick up on the same Politico piece claiming that Ted is going to take over the world. And the handwringing continues. This is a crazy distraction from what the real agenda right now should be; defeating Hillary. Trump needs ALL the votes he can get and the incessant hit pieces on Ted, and then the attempted flogging of anyone who calls for taking a deep breath and dares not be as outraged as NeverCruz thinks they should be ain’t winning anyone over to Trump.

Psst, I heard that Beautiful Gracious Skies is a Jeb troll who is trying to outmaneuver Cruz outmaneuver Trump at the convention and by making all these off the wall accusations about Ted is making sure the spotlight is off Jeb (haha, as if that is a problem) so he can get his 89 delegates from Florida to take over the national convention. Crazy conspiracy theories are kind of fun, but that’s all they are.

You’ve done a great job of making us all aware that Politico thinks Ted is going to crash the convention. Thanks. It’s an interesting theory. If it actually does happen it’s going to take a lot more than posting about it here and calling your reps to reverse it.

Here’s a curious scenario: Ted Cruz crashes the convention, somehow gets enough delegates to change the rules for this convention and in so doing becomes the republican nominee. Do you vote for him to keep Hillary out? Or are you NeverCruz and allow Hillary to sail into office? I think this is about as likely of happening as the nonsense above about Jeb.

You miss the point of the article, completely.

READ:
“AND THE “CONSCIENCE CLAUSE,” which will RELEASE CONSERVATIVE DELEGATES FROM SUPPORTING THE PRESUMPTIVE DELEGATE, should that delegate represent views that contradict theirs or the party.”

This means delegates are not bound.

So why have any election? you tell me if delegates may choose willy-nilly

And, if you are in Florida, you ought to know that the FL R party changed the primary date and the delegate rules to accommodate Jeb Bush. Florida is the only state that has delegates bound until the 4th ballot. Sucks to be the Bushes when Jeb had already withdrawn and the deal benefits a total outsider- TRUMP!

How about you do some research and get back to us after you have determined how many Cruz delegates are on the RNC convention rules committee and what days they convene to vote and make the rules for 2016.

Then we’ll have something to discuss.
