... It looks like the Trump body snatching virus I wrote about last month is spreading again. For a moment, after Wisconsin, it seemed like it might be going into remission. Nope, it’s actually spiking.

Last night the New York Post endorsed Donald Trump. After I criticized the editorial on Twitter, a Trump supporter tweeted at me “No Goldberg, you are wrong. Support the front runner and stop trying to burn the party. Unite it.” ...

On the drive in to my office this morning, I heard Hillsdale College president Larry Arnn, one of the wisest and gentlest souls I’ve ever encountered, describe Trump as a “good and honest man” and “quite brilliant.” A few minutes ago on Twitter, the great semi-retired editorialist Don Surber said to me, regarding Trump, “You will come around. Others may not because they are childish.” ...

If a president Trump does the right thing, I will say he did the right thing — because that’s my job. But I will never look at that fleshy pile of vanity, crudity, and deceit and say, “There’s a good and honest man.” Yes, yes, we all believe in redemption, so maybe he could have some Oval Office conversion, find a God that doesn’t consider profit maximization to be the key measure of a man’s soul, and become a good and honest man. Maybe the sudden bowel-stewing realization that he’s wildly unqualified for the job of commander-in-chief will arouse in him a humility never displayed in his gaudy romp across our airwaves ...

I doubted that this article would elicit any substantive comment about Goldberg’s argument. So far I am right. Trump’s only attraction is that he has addressed the issues that I am most angry about. But that anger does not translate into voting for someone whose only qualification at this point seems to be raising the collective anger of potential voters willing to see Hillary Clinton as President.

With the story today that 40% of Bernie’s voters say they will vote for Trump if Hillary gets the nomination, the 40% of conservatives who will not vote for him will be replaced by disappointed Socialists. Trump doesn’t have any principles to uphold, so he will be totally fine with that as long as he wins.

This fool went from “political commentator” to political whore for the GOPe. I saw him on Faux Friday morning and he was viably shaken by the recent News that Trump is winning this nomination. He was pale and quivering possibly because he won’t get money under the table to push globalist crap or Ted Scruz anymore. I have no more respect for his views or commentary. He will be an auto channel change and I wont waste time reading his partisan column again. Trump has flushed out these rats into the open for which we owe him a debt of gratitude.

Jonah is a good guy. He gives us the view from a converted liberal. Love the guy in general. But there is a bigger picture. It is about left and right, but, it is, even more about entrenched and outsider. The crossing-the-aisle-go-along-to-get-along system does not work. If nothing else, a general enema to the body politic may be just what the doctor ordered. Trump, for all his faults, is far closer to what the founders envisioned than what we have in the career politician class that has developed. Trump is a roll of the dice, to be sure, but he is infinitely better than status quo, which, not incidently, is more corrupt than Beezebub's minions.
