Dear Trump Supporters... Shove It! [Jim Robinson responds at 198]
Vanity | 2/16/2016 | pgyanke

Dear Trump Supporters,

You say you don't support Ted Cruz because he's a liar (even though he backs up everything he says) and plays dirty politics (like sabotaging Dr Carson's run in Iowa). The former has been dealt with every time it's brought up. I want to deal with the latter definitively.

You say that Ted Cruz deliberately sabotaged Dr Carson in Iowa. However, it has been shown conclusively that Ted's team got the information from CNN who got the information from Dr Carson's team. If that hurt Dr Carson's results... show me one person who changed his vote because of that information. By now, someone should have come forward.

You want to know who is playing dirty politics? Your guy. I know many people who would like to vote for Ted Cruz but they don't think he's eligible due to the birther issue... because of your guy. There is a demonstrative level of support for Ted that is being suppressed by the allegation. Yet, the only definitive statement on the subject from an objective source (IL Board of Elections) has ruled in Ted's favor.

Your guy persists. Constitutional scholar that Donald Trump is, he persists with the birther comments and suppresses Ted Cruz's support. Oh wait... it's not because of the Constitution. Trump will drop it if Ted apologizes. Seriously? This isn't a Constitutional issue for Trump, it's personal... and that is his Achilles Heal. It's all personal for Trump.

You want to challenge Ted Cruz's eligibility? Do it. You simply want to keep the issue alive to hurt his campaign? That's just the usual dirty politics... and your guy isn't the paragon of virtue you claim.

So... put up or shove it.

Politics is a dirty sport so I don't take what they say personally..
I support Trump and Cruz in that order and will vote for the one who emerges victorious.

You really should pay more attention. Here is a documented switcher.

“Anecdotal evidence has emerged that some voters who had intended to back Carson changed their minds after hearing the news. And perhaps more significantly, a pile-on by Cruz’s opponents has kept the pressure on the Texas senator’s campaign.

In at least one case, the misinformation left its mark. Waterloo resident Becky Smith said she stepped into the George Washington Carver Academy to cast her first-ever vote in the Iowa caucuses for Carson. She registered onsite as a Republican, switching her affiliation as an independent, so she could cast her ballot. But a man helping distribute ballots - she didn’t know his name or campaign affiliation - said he had just heard that Carson was “suspending his campaign.”

Ted Cruz was my strong second. Even when I decided that I didn’t like him, I determined that I’d crawl over broken glass to vote for whoever could beat Hillary.

Because of FReepers like you, I’ll never check the box for Cruz.

I’ll let the entire nation burn before I vote for Cruz.

Hell, I’ll bring the matches and a gallon of gasoline. Let’s make it an ‘end of the world’ party.

Ted Cruz will NOT get my vote. Because I don’t want to be associated with his followers.

yet you thought it was great that Trump stole Jeb’s domain name

Again, I don’t think Cruz supporters are very familiar with the definitions of words. Maybe all the lying is because of this, and just an accident.

Trump did not STEAL anything. If Jeb Bush forgot to renew his domain, that’s his damn fault. And Trump didn’t put up a fake website, or anything bashing Bush. All he did was redirect the domain to his site. A classy way to handle your opponent’s mistake, if you ask me.

Here’s what I don’t get...

Beck has been pushing Skousen’s 5000 Year Leap for ages. A good read. But he insists that Cruz is eligible when Skousen, in his constitutional textbook, The Making of America, teaches that a natural born citizen is not foreign born.

Beck believes one book but not the other?

Makes me go, “Huh?”

Ohmygosh. EVERY TIME there's a negative article about Cruz, his supporters immediately blame the source or the author because it's biased. One of those questionable and biased sources (we'll all agree) is CNN. So, his campaign sees a "breaking news" story on CNN, enhances it, and sends it out to campaign staffers as truth. When did CNN become a reliable source? PS: actively encouraging the voters away from Dr. Carson is not a real great optic....stealing votes from the vulnerable black guy does not help outreach for diverse support.

Look at your candidate objectively. Acknowledge his imperfections. And give better excuses for his mis-steps. Or better yet, join those of us who strive to Make America Great Again.

Well we will let the voters decide. Each person gets one vote. Obviously you and I cancel each other out so we will have to rely on others.

Trump has already researched Ted Cruz’s eligibility, and found that he is eligible to run for president:

“I hear it was checked out by every attorney and every which way and I understand Ted is in fine shape,” Trump told ABC News.

It's incumbent on Ted Cruz to clear this up, not Donald Trump.

Barring a definitive resolution to this Cruz eligibility issue, it will dog him during the nomination process, as well as the general election, should it come to that. Trump is simply being shrewd.

Odd that the greatest debater to ever sway the Supreme Court has paladins here that would lose a debate with that little girl over which candy to chose.

My husband’s a soldier who’s done six tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and he’ll be the first to tell you that the soldiers feel duped by Bush.

Were there WMD’s? Yup.

The fact that BUSH and POWELL said that they were ‘mistaken’ stabbed all of our guys in the back and undermined the war effort. The ‘we’re at war, but please don’t nevermind and keep shopping’ stance by our president undermined the war effort.

Our guys continued to do their job. Even with an unsupportive CIC. Both of them.

I’ve been married to a soldier for more than a quarter of a century. He’s MI and he hates how both fronts were fought.

He doesn’t disagree with Trump one bit. We’re seeing more and more ‘make america great again’ t-shirts and hats on post as the months go by.
