Trump has already researched Ted Cruz’s eligibility, and found that he is eligible to run for president:
“I hear it was checked out by every attorney and every which way and I understand Ted is in fine shape,” Trump told ABC News.
The idea that the American legal system is going to open the Pandora’s box of original intent after recoiling from it for a hundred years is just a fantasy.
Whatever even initially successful legal challenge to Cruz’ eligibility can’t be based on original intent.
I predict it will be called a political question by the courts and left to elected officials.
