Nutritional Health Series, Part 1:
Why We Get Fat by Gary Taubes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDneyrETR2o
Eat more, move less,=get fatter
I know why I got fat. I eat too much and don’t burn off enough calories. And, I don’t have to read a book to know this.

“I know why I got fat. I eat too much and donât burn off enough calories. And, I donât have to read a book to know this.”
You have just repeated the common myth. There is a very good reason why you failed to burn the calories and stored them as fat, and is far from being just a sedentary lifestyle. See the video.
Global Warming makes me fat.
Is the public really that stupid to not know the answer to this question? Really? Heaven help us.

Cut carbs and weight trained, lost some weight. Went vegan including complex carbs minus gluten and continued weight training, lost more weight. I eat more calories that Big Gov says I’m supposed to, even with wt added in. I’m maintaining very well, although I’d like to lose a few vanity pounds if we go to the beach this summer. No cardio, no calorie restriction. Everything Big Gov and paid diet programs tell you to do, do the exact opposite of.
“Is the public really that stupid to not know the answer to this question? Really?”
Yes, they are. The truth is counterintuitive. What is very interesting is how the medical community and much of society knew the correct response in the 18th and 19th Centuries, but was turned upside down by the medical community and the USDA Dietary Guidelines in the mid-20th Century. Ever since then people have been brainwashed in the educational system and the mass media to forget past lessons and adopt a reverse form of nutrition that has resulted in a worldwide mass epidemic of obesity and metabolic disorders.
Don’t want to get fat? Eat more (good) fats...and cut the carbs
Outlaw forks....
Seriously, if you eat stuff out of a bag, that was processed, it ain’t good for you, drives insulin levels crazy and are calorie dense.
While it feels good to eat that bag of chips, white rice, etc they are no bueno to your health.
I have several friends who have recently become diabetic or are borderline and their blood pressure is sky high.
If you want that bag of chips, fine. However, it should count as a meal, at least.
I don’t eat that stuff throughout the day at all.
I eat whole foods and even every bit of fat on my steak but, I don’t combine sugars and carbs at all.
Eat dessert rarely and don’t really care for things that turn intonsimple sugars, white bread being one food I can’t stand the taste of and really, it comes down to not liking white flour, unless it is crisped.
Pizza? I only eat the toppings.
McDonalds? I toss the bread.
Polish Dog at Costco? I use it to protect my hands from burning and just never eat it.
Cakes? Gross...except lemon.
Red potatoes are a great sub for any starch due to their sweetness.
Craving sugar? Once a year I’ll go on an all day binge, get sick as a dog and remind myself I’ll do it again next year.
But, a good orange or green apple tastes better anyway.
That said, I love Top Ramen and had some for lunch, with a can of tuna. Sometimes I boil the noodles with egg whites and veggies.
Can someone please give us the Cliff notes on this video?
And, please, no paleo nitwits with “eat less, exercise more” bulls#it.
“Global Warming makes me fat.”
In fact what the U.S. Department of Agriculture, CDC, Surgeon General, and big business has done to harm the health of Americans far outstrips the lost human lives and economic costs even contemplated by the Climate Change Hoax. People who are worried about the climate Change Hoax should see what has already been done with the reeducation of American nutritional habits and the ongoing medical failure to refrain from making patients even sicker.
Watch the video and then comment upon what is said in the video.
“paleo nitwits “
The only nitwits are those that think the laws of physics do not apply to them and think there has just got to be a way to be a glutton without getting obese.
Eat less sugar, eat more fat.
Can’t get fat. Tried. Just doesn’t work.
“Donât want to get fat? Eat more (good) fats...and cut the carbs”
And cut the protein to 1 gram per kilogram of lean body weight, otherwise protein will be metabolized into glucose, increase insulin, and the insulin will block burning of stored adipose fat, and the saturated fat will result in cardiovascular disease.
