BRIDGETON, N.J. Another police killing is stirring anger in another town, this time in New Jersey, where a tense traffic stop captured on video ended with a passenger shot to death as he stepped out of a car with his hands raised at shoulder height.
The newly released footage from a police dashboard camera shows Bridgeton officers Braheme Days and Roger Worley in a Dec. 30 stop that escalates quickly after Days warns his partner about seeing a gun in the glove compartment of the Jaguar...

Reid, 36, had spent about 13 years in prison for shooting at New Jersey State Police troopers when he was a teenager. He was also arrested last year on charges including drug possession and obstruction; Days was one of the arresting officers then.

(So now we'll have a rhetorical "battle" over definition of what "armed" and "unarmed" is)
From the article:

This one’s gonna be real bad, I have a feeling.
“I know this guy...”
So he was in the beginning position for “El Presidente”?
I’m not all that comfortable with the police being to shoot anyone that has access to a weapon.
Looks like a good shot to me
Why was the cop pulling the door open if he didn’t want the passenger to get out of the car?
The video is not clear enough (to me) to see what the passenger was DOING inside the car ... the cop repeatedly commanded him not to move and it SOUNDED like the passenger was not being very co-operative ... but the video is (IMO) inconclusive about anything except the cop shot a passenger
Cop was looking for a reason to put a cap in the guys ass... chest , head and 3 more places. just for good measure.
I agree. If the mere presence of a firearm, Nerf gun, Airsoft, glue gun, hose nozzle, or etc. is all that's needed to justify a police officer killing someone then it's a pretty logical step to making the conclusion that your life is in jeopardy every time you come into contact with a police officer.
But, of course, us peons can't justify shooting a police officer with the same excuse they use for shooting a peon:
"I was in fear for my life."
Wait...did I read that right?
A guy who spent 13 years in prison for shooting at police has a gun inches from his hands...but at no time was a threat to police because he had no weapon?
And since he was black...shot by a black officer...it was RAAAAACISM!
Isn’t there is something called the “Wingspan Rule” that applies to vehicle situations?
“Reid, 36, had spent about 13 years in prison for shooting at New Jersey State Police troopers when he was a teenager.”
Good riddance, cop killer.
“My baby ain’t done never hurt nobody.”
December 30th? Black unarmed(?) vic? You’d have thought there would have been more publicized outrage by now. Good shoot or not, it’s cops against a saintly member of the community.
He gets a clear shot that way.
