For only the second time in nearly two decades, the 20 Academy Awards acting nominations went to a group made up entirely of white actors and actresses.

I think the bias against Oprah Winfrey (her company, Harpo Productions, was involved in producing
Selma) hurt that movie's chances for Oscar nominations.
I've seen Grand Budapest Hotel and Boyhood and both are worthy Oscar nominees. I think Boyhood will win Best Picture because it was such an audacious project, followin an actor for 12 years in "real time" growth.

Not surprising . All the Best Picture noms (except American Sniper) are aimed at white, elitist liberals. Let’s take a shot in the dark: The Academy voters are almost all white, elitist liberals.
