I think the bias against Oprah Winfrey (her company, Harpo Productions, was involved in producing Selma) hurt that movie's chances for Oscar nominations.

I've seen Grand Budapest Hotel and Boyhood and both are worthy Oscar nominees. I think Boyhood will win Best Picture because it was such an audacious project, followin an actor for 12 years in "real time" growth.
