McDonald’s, Wendy’s and other fast-food restaurants are expected to be targeted with acts of civil disobedience that could lead to arrests Thursday as labor organizers escalate their campaign to unionize the industry’s workers.
Kendall Fells, an organizing director for Fast Food Forward, said in an interview that workers in a couple of dozen cities were trained to peacefully engage in civil disobedience ahead of this week’s planned protests.
Fells declined to say what exactly is in store for the protests in around 150 U.S. cities. But workers involved in the movement recently cited sit-ins as an example of strategies they could use to intensify their push for higher pay and unionization. Fine, when they start charging $6.00 for one of their crappy burgers, I think I will engage in a little personal boycott of my own. Try to get $12.00 an hour when no one is coming through the door.
There would be nothing unlawful about fast food chains blacklisting troublesome employees. Importantly, they would not officially be blacklisted for union activities, but only after supervisors had repeatedly written them up for substandard performance.
Once that list is shared, it would minimize repeat offenders moving from chain to chain to agitate.
Who do these workers work for? Their employer(s) should fire their sorry a$$e$.
Employers do not determine or control wages.....CONSUMERS do.
Maybe that’s the plan? Naw, they’re not that smart.

I refuse to pay a penny more for wages. Anyone caught trespassing will be prosecuted and fired if employed. These people are communists.

As for fast food the faster they automate with computers and machines the better. They could cut staff by two thirds, which wouldn’t bother me.
