The San Francisco Giants are considering a new dress code for fans, which may include a ban on fake Native American headdresses and other culturally insensitive clothing.
The proposal for a new dress code comes after two Native Americans were detained during a Giants game last month after asking a fan to remove a headdress they found disrespectful.
If approved, the new policy could be a first for a major-league sports franchise,

How about removing the headdress so the guy behind you can see the field?

How about people stop attending the Giants games for awhile.
Out of thousands of people at a game ,two people had a complaint.

They better not play the Village People at the park either, as I am sure they love to do in SF. The Village People had an Indian.

Is this "culturally insensitive"? Would it be allowed at AT&T Park?

I find it offensive when Native Americans wear European clothes. We should all complain every time we see this.

Ban apparel that is culturally insensitive?
How idiotic!
Why not just ban all fans from the stadium. That way, SFGiants management can be 95% certain no one will be offended.

Correction -- white guys are banned from wearing headdresses in the stadium, not Native Americans. From the story, it appears that a white guy was simply wearing a headdress. He wasn't dancing around and making fun of Indians (sorry, Native Americans). He was wearing it as he watched the game. That, alone, was offensive to the Native American grievance-mongers who got in his face and demanded that he take it off. Whites appropriating "their" culture automatically is offensive.

Your tag line is culturally insensitive. However, OSHA may let you weasel out of serious charges when I tell them you were worried about splinters.
BTW, I will be leaving the country when two gay minor league ball players do the "Married at Home Plate" thing in Dubuque, or God forbid, Kankakee.

No no, if you are German, you can wear it. It’s only if a German sees a non-German wearing one, then it would be “culturally insensitive”.
