Harvey Mudd? (Mining Engineer) I doubt it though.
An old neighbor of mine back in New Jersey would tell stories of the old days after I mowed his lawn on the weekends. His first job was working at the Edison Cement Plant as a child (10 years old or so). On about the fourth weekend over beers he was talking again about how he would bring sandwiches to “Tommy”, weigh the cement and bring the numbers to Tommy, etc. and then something clicked in my brain.
“Tommy. You mean Thomas Edison!!??”
“Well hell, who did you think I was talkin’ about!?”
(Lots of things are named “Edison” in NJ so I never put it together.)

The queen is looking at Marylins cleavage. LOL. No she isn't. She's looking straight into Marilyn's face. I think you're the one who's looking elsewhere .. LOL

Thank you for your story. I am always in awe of what people went through during those troubling times. I hope you have some old letters or have written down those stories to pass down to your children and grandchildren.

Wow, interesting. Here are a couple more contemporaries:
Here are a couple of Jefferson Davis photos, one from the North and one from the South...but not necessarily in that order::

We got rid of TV 5 or 6 years ago and so choose entertainment from Netflix. We watched 5 seasons straight last year of Breaking Bad. Loved it.

It's bizarre. And he was short guy..And what was even stranger was he married the daughter of Eugene O'Neil when she was 19 and he was 54 and they ended up having 8 kids, the last who was born in 1962 which means that kid is still walking around only 51 years old. Here, I looked him up...Christopher Chaplin, this is Charlie Chaplins kid! This is a guy whose father was born when Vincent Van Gogh was still around, when Mark Twain was in his prime, amazing. He looks just like him too .

Your second photo (on the bottom) is of General Jefferson C. Davis.
"General Jefferson C. Davis, no relation to the CSA president, was from Indiana. He had joined the army as a private in time for the Mexican War and had received an officer's commission at the end of that conflict in recognition of his merit. He was at Fort Sumter when it was bombarded, had participated in the battle at Pea Ridge and had been promoted to Brigadier General at the end of 1861."

So Lincoln was the first of four U.S. Presidents to be assassinated. There was one individual that was at the death bed of three of those Presidents and another that was the Dr. to attend to two of them...any guesses?
