We need prayers!
My 95 year old mother, Virgina, did not wake up this morning. She is still only semi-responsive in the emergency room at Sutter Memorial Hospital. When I arrived there from Stockton at 10:30AM here blood pressure was 53 over 37 and her O2 saturation level was 62%. I took her hand, which was very cold, and said "Hi Mom!" and she opened one eye and looked at me. When I asked her how she felt she mumbled "Awful!"
She then went back to being only semi-responsive.
Her BP is now much better and O2 is up to 87% on 100% oxygen... But she is still out of it.
The diagnosis is double pneumonia... But there also may be congestive heart failure.
At her age, I just want her not to suffer... Whether she is called home to God or recovers. What I fear is the horrid middle ground where she winds up with no quality of life in a nursing home and doesn't know who she is, who her family is, or what is happening to her and lingers forever in a medical limbo. She has left orders for no extraordinary measures to save her... And we will honor that. So prayers are needed for the best resolution for her... But God's will be done.
Prayers going up, Sword. God bless.
Prayers for you and your mother.

I’m sorry to hear this, Sword. Having your mother be here for 95 years is a blessing, but the parting is still difficult. God bless and prayers for you in this time.
God knows what is best. Fully lean on Him. He wants you to and don't forget that He knows your heart.
I will pray for peace and comfort for you both.
God bless you Swordmaker, don't forget to 'lean'.
Prayers up.
prayers for her...
Lord of all peace, be with Swordmaker and family. May the transition time from this world to You be covered by Your peace, comfort and strength. May the family be comforted by the sweet memories that they share with their beloved. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
My 95 year old mother just died in Nov. It is a traumatic time. God bless all of you.
Prayers up for your Mom swordmaker.
Prayers for a peaceful and quick passage Home for your Mom.
Get a tube GOOD of bleach wipes and wipe down all surfaces in the room. Hospitals may look clean, but they are full of very nasty germs. I agree with livius have a family member stay with her, never ever leave them alone.
If you can’t read to her put her favorite gospel songs on an disc and play them for her to hear.
Prayers for you and your mother, Swordmaker ...
May the peace of our Lord and Savior be hers, may His comfort be yours and your families as one day you will meet her inside the Eastern Gate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoURBwNjmrw
