I have always thought this was a great site to get great political info. I come here for political/journalistic references. If you are going to make your queries 'Religious,' why not go to the religious talking board. I have been slammed here on what people believe is my perceived religion. These were for comments which didnt mention religion, and didnt have religious overtones. I
After that, I can just put away my popcorn and move on from this thread.
Well, quick note: isn't it an Alinsky method to isolate then ridicule.....(I don't have knowshon's reading listing; just sayin'....)
Well, Peaches, I NEVER said it was. Dial 1-800-get-very-yourself and see who answers the phone.
I wasn't aware of that feature. Can you tell me how to do that?
Click on the "Account" link at the top of the page.
Click on the "Manage Blocks" link down the page.
You now have complete access to how your front page is designed. You can add/remove any of the features and fine-tune which forums you see.
If you need extra help contact the admin moderator. They can point you to a thread that discusses this in detail.
(I personally am not an expert on this. I read everything and only post to threads that interest me. I try not to complain about other stuff unless forum rules are abused or broken. Then I whine like an injured child until the bad FReepers stop... ;0)
Guy goes into a bar, theres a robot bartender.
The robot says, What will you have? The guy says, Martini. The robot brings back the best martini ever and says to the man, Whats your IQ? The guy says, 168. The robot then proceeds to talk about metaphysics, theology, transubstantiation, and divine causation.
The guy leaves, but he is curious, so he goes back into the bar. The robot bartender says, What will you have? The guy says, Martini. Again, the robot makes a great martini, gives it to the man and says, Whats your IQ? The guy says, 100. The robot then starts to talk about Benny Hinn, speaking in tongues, and Reverend Ike.
The guy leaves, but finds it very interesting, so he thinks he will try it one more time. He goes back into the bar. The robot says, What will you have? The guy says, Martini, and the robot brings him another great martini. The robot then says, Whats your IQ? The guy says, Uh, about 50. The robot leans in real close and says, So, you people still happy you voted for Obama?
When one can’t extort faith for food & medicine in disaster areas what’s one to do?
While religion is certainly historically linked to conservatism, and you cannot have that without the moral aspect, there are some whom i think go overboard in promoting Catholicism, which, paradoxically, despite some very conservative Catholics, overall is linked to liberalism wherever it predominates, as compared to its evangelical counterpart.

FR has a very vocal Religion Forum. There are “open threads” wherein various religious beliefs and doctrine are debated, raucously. In such a PC, muzzled world, I find it refreshing, quite honestly. It’s how free speech looks, feels and sounds.
There are also “caucus” threads, where believers in a particular faith, creed, denomination, etcetera can discuss their beliefs amongst themselves. This is enforced, and outside debate is not allowed. This is how religious freedom looks, feels and sounds. People are free to believe as they believe, and it is protected.
Funny, how that sort of parallels our Constitution and Bill of Rights, isn’t it? That is no coincidence.
Along those lines, you are also free not to view these discussions, if you find them too boisterous for your taste, or you are just not interested. You can view just the “News/Activism” forum, or any other, by changing your preferences when you sign on. You’ll have to do this every time you sign on, though.
Good luck, and happy FReeping. If you think you’re going to restrict subject matter or when, where and how it’s discussed on FR per FR guidelines, though, you’re not going to be received in a very positive manner by the rest of us.
I don’t know. People are interested in their religion. They want to discuss it, and/or how it affects their politics. JIm permits it.
What’s your problem? Just dont’ read them.
Have you contacted the owner of FR and informed him that you've made a decision on what should or should not be posted here? FReepmail works.

Count me witcha! These constant Protester vs Romanian wars are lame and annoying!
If you do not wish to see Religion Forum posts, do NOT use the “everything” option on the browse. Instead, browse by “News/Activism.” When you log back in, the browse will reset to “everything” - so be sure to set it back to “News/Activism.”
“Why the constant posts on religion?”
Probably because we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable opinions.
Although your post count is minimal, the antagonistic tone of most of them is remarkable. It certainly explains your antipathy to seeing posts on religion.
Welcome to FRee Republic, n00b...
This is a conservative site...
Religion is very important to conservatives...
God and country, 1st Amendment Rights and all that...
9/11 was about religion, moreso than politics..
The rest were believers, Christians, who acted like Christians and opened this country to all (even to my ignorant Jewish grandfather who cam here in 1892).
God bless the Founders.
uuuuhhh, and your point is?
Only my twelve best friends and you can trust the people here.
