Sitcom queen Kirste Alley makes like human zeppelin, docks at fat farm for quick fix.
Alarmed as her weight skyrocketed toward 300 pounds, a desperate Kirstie checked into a fat farm and began grueling six-days-a-week workout sessions.
The distraught actress collapsed and broke down in tears when her weight soared to a record 250 pounds, as The ENQUIRER reported in late June. But she was unable to put the brakes on her out-of-control bingeing.
Racing to avert disaster, Kirstie started a new diet and exercise routine, but ended up adding another 15 pounds - and hit the 265-pound mark in mid-September.
She knew she had to get professional help…fast.
"Her breakdown was a blessing in disguise - it was the wake-up call she needed," revealed a source close to the 5-foot-8 actress.
"She realized she had to take drastic measures or she could die."

Prayers for Ms. Alley. I hope she can beat back whatever demons she has, lose the weight and start enjoying life again.
That is so not-funny. I never had anything against her, though I always thought she was a bit too old to play Saavik in The Wrath of Khan.
And I thought I had a problem with Ben & Jerry’s. Even Oprah’s decades-long yo-yo-ing falls far short of this. It must be absolutely terrible to have no control.

I just lost my baby sister in July. She weighed 480 pounds and was a heavy smoker. She left 4 children and a husband behind. It was so sad.
She didn’t get there overnight either.

Oh dear ... I just clicked through to the article and saw the photograph of Kirstie. The hog thing is perfectly applicable. Wow.
I can’t even come near what you must feel. God calls us home on his schedule and HIS schedule only...regardless of what or why mortals know it or think of it. Sadly, it leaves us missing those called home. I feel for you, FRiend! Your loss of a sister must be immense.
Those shows on the Morbid Obesity Channel are certainly illuminating. It’s just like being a crackhead or an alky.
In your late sister’s case, was she the only member of her immediate family so afflicted? Or was she just an order of magnitude worse off than her parents/siblings?
Enjoy life? Are you serious? This woman’s dream of Heaven is an express escalator through an endless mountain of marshmallow clouds.
