Meet The Black Brazilian Mother Who Has Three White Children
By Daily Mail Reporter 02nd September 2009
A black mother has baffled scientists after giving birth to three albino children. [Pics in URL] Parents Rosemere Fernandes de Andrade and her partner Joao are dark-skinned Afro-Brazilians, yet three of their five children are albinos.

Genetics professor Valdir Balbino of the Federal University of Pernambuco said this is a very rare occurrence considering the parents and two other children are black.
The family live in the slum of Olinda in north-east Brazil and the children have faced taunts by fellow pupils at their school. The condition affects around one in 17,000 people. Those with albiinism do not produce enough melanin pigment, which gives colour to the skin, hair and eyes and protects the body from the sun's rays.
They often suffer from extreme short-sightedness and a severe sensitivity to light.

Oh, I certainly agree they are albino, but their facial characteristics are Caucasian.
His eyes are blue, also. Albinos have pink eyes. There was an albino kid at college when I was there, pink eyes, white hair, not blond.
I don’t find this hard to understand at all. Obviously both parents have albinism in their genetic backgrounds. If so, then statistically some of there children will be albino.
In human albinos, the eyes often appear blue. It's something about how the light refracts on human eyes.
The have Caucasian skull structure and features to a great extent too.
So do their mom and darker sibs. I think the black kid in the top photo is not a family member
That could very well to true. Still, I wish that other experts in this field would examine them. Something about this just doesn’t look right (no pun intended).
Are U serious?
A Negro albino is still a Negro, not “white” even if his skin is like milk. It happens frequently in African -race populations, In some African counries they kill them at birth, in others they are revered. There is a famous African musician who is one, and he doesn’t have thick lips. I’ve known Afro-Caribbean albinos with blond hair. It’s quite common.
Albino is a recessive gene, but not from a European ancestor. It happens often in AFrica where there have hardly been Europeans, let alone racial mixing.
CAUCASIAN albinos have pink eyes.
NEGRO albinos have blue eyes.
FMD’s?
they certainly have their mom's feet
that boy in the back has Sino features....probably Mongolioid DNA from indig Brasilian tribe...quite common there
whatever.....studies on this stuff are so whacked, it's all political to thwart racial distinctiveness for whites while at the same time trumpeting specialness about non whites...hope they make some money from this...life for mulattoes or albinos in NE Brasil is glum by our standards
Never proven, 99% agree fake.
I see this as a mix-up at the hospital.
