[history]
During the cold war, JFK claimed to have gone to the moon. He got congress to spend billions on his moon landing and pretended america landed there, convincing congress to give him billions, the fakeness of the landing is well documented.
It seems to me that this liberal moneybags, that he took these billions for personal use, or maybe gave them to the USSR (we all know he was soft on communism)
Perhaps his death was similarly staged in order to keep his billions or keep congress of his case.
I wonder if under an obama administration we will see more moon landings.

Mmmm-mmmm, GOOD!
I have a special place in my life for cornbread made partly with yellow cake mix, served hot, and spread with whipped honey butter.

Around here, it ain’t the weather that’s balmy.
I’ve been up since ~7:30am yesterday, and have to be out of the house by 7:00am this morning. Doctor’s orders. [eyeroll] Don’t ask. I’m going to go, now, and try to catch the climactic ending of “40 winks” before I turn into a toadstool, or worse.
Later.

Verticality didn’t have a lot of appeal this morning.
My bed was feeling very comfortable.

Oh, you mean chores. Yeah, I do them too.
F’r instance. I had to take the recycling bin to the roadside last night. Guess who has to fetch it?
If you’re saying, “Big deal,” you don’t know my driveway.

Not driving in my driveway, unless I have to. 10 minutes ago there was about an inch of snow on the ground but it’s working overtime to apply a significant multiplier to that number...

Turn around and look in the other direction and you'd be across the street from the building the distant part of this picture, taken a few hours earlier. Usually at this hour the roads are packed.

How unpleasant. It’s 64 and cloudy here. Anoreth and I went to Wingate, over east, to the Sheriff’s Office and applied for a handgun purchase permit.
Apparently every short gray-haired lady and her mean redheaded daughter are buying handgun permits, because there were big signs up saying it would take at least three days to process. The fatherly deputy gave us some advice on appropriate self-defense weapons and seemed very pleased that we planned to look out for ourselves.

We wound up going out and went right through that area. Redmond (downtown) was beginning to melt, but it was still snowing a little here.
The weather radar is a little weird -- it had the pattern of a dissipating storm but suddenly (probably not far from Sandy) a north-south line of it, 50 - 60 mile long, suddenly intensified. It'll pass over us in a few minutes; I guess I'll see then.
LoM's making up some nice hot cider.
