Believe it or not...booze (in small doses) is an appetite stimulant. Dr. Rinehart wrote the order in hopes it would enourage her to eat something or at least, drink fluids. She was becoming so dehydrated. Apparently, it worked :-)

Bev, For some time through your loving posts here, I've so enjoyed knowing what a really interesting and classy mom you have. It can certainly be said that she has tasted life to the fullest and has had a life well lived. Your devotion and care is so commendable...just as your love and care for Larry shone through.

Hi, Molly! Your one-eyed friend is checkin' in! Had a check up with the eye doc late this afternoon and he says the retina is "A-ttached" and the scarring is gone. After the surgery on Fri he told me to keep my head parallel to the floor for 7 hours/day to let gravity keep the oil on the retina as much as possible. So that and the discomfort kept me from using the computer. ANYWAY, now I only have to keep my head down for an hour/day and I don't have to go back to see him for 3 weeks. Gotta take it easy, of course, but I am on the mend - again.

Sorry about that cyst - so you were doing warm compresses and I've been doing cold ones. Geesh! If it ain't one thing it's another. Glad to know things are looking fine for you now. Take care!

GOOD MORNING!!!! Will finish my garden today then will do the ole rain dance around dark and see if I can get up some rain, have had only 13" since the hurricane.

FEMA trailers.... we are being told that it might be around June or July before they can get the ones off our place, if a hurricane comes we are hauling them to the back of the place as we do not want to get our house torn up by bits and pieces of trailers.

Staying on FEMA they have people who do inspections on the trailers which is good but hey, the ones we have has been inspected 4 times this week alone and the thing is, those folks are paid 50 bucks a trailer to inspect, this is being done all alone the coast and in other words it is costing US (taxpayers) 200 bucks a Month, a lot of money thrown away by FEMA down here.

I am heading to the 'big house' for a cup of coffee with the kids, bug D a little while just for the heck of it, ya know, I love doing this.

Johnny...what do the newspapers in TX say about our President. I just heard one of the liberals (radio) say that his approval in TX was down to 36 percent! And, that 64 percent agree he sould be impeached!!
