Absolutley true!!! And guilt never solves anything in the long run, because it puts you in self-destruct mode.

There are a lot of people who observe Advent, but probably not for the same reasons as it was originally intended. My sister and her family observe the Eastern Orthodox "Christmas season," which ends (I think) on Jan 6th.

It's a bit like "liberal guilt" - liberal guilt turns your conscience to mush, Catholic guilt, well, it can have a similiar effect if you are thin-skinned.
