I am an internet java script sent to infiltrate your site and transform you from political neanderthals into a modern 21st Century progressive mode.

This is your first warning.

Do not try and resist.

It is useless.

Accept your fate.

You will be assimilated.

And I'm very thankful (yes, that's the right word!) that I live in Arizona! It was overcast today with a high of 79, but the humidity was only 13%. :o]

LOL! Well, yes.

At the very least they think we are obsolete.

At last count, I had 3600+ entries...just on my dad's side. My mother's side is a little harder to find, as that's the one with the Native Americans. Some on my father's side came from South Africa, in the early settlements there, but the rest of it, is through the Royals. There are seven lines going through the Royals, and it's often hard to keep them straight because of the incest.

We're breaking out of the fog here, but north of us is still shrouded.

Was in the fog almost to Redmond this morning (to have lunch with our priest), but by the time I was headed home it had burned off everywhere. But boy is everything damp still...

Blessed rain tomorrow!

It would have to be rain, or snow, or high winds. I've never done the turkey on the Weber in dry calm. It would be wrong somehow...

You know, I'm nearer to agnosticism, than I am to Catholicism, the guilt is a nuisance, and I agnostically say, probably unnecessary.

I often wonder if non-Catholics think we are some weird mystical cult....

There is a segment of the Roman Catholic laity in America that is involved in the New Age/occult stuff. Mainly baby-boom liberals that deny half of the teachings of the Church--or such has been my experience.

Paddy's Day is more of a national holiday, than a Thanksgiving - meaning it has it's religious and patriotic sides!

That's exactly like Thanksgiving used to be.

Yes--and shall we say, "mixing with the commoners?"

One should never have to live with guilt. It's a destroyer. It ruins your perception of yourself and the people you have to see every day.

At the very least they think we are obsolete.

Well, maybe... what I mean is, we have a lot of rituals and ceremonies that other denominations don't have - all that must seem strange.

ADVENT: The other Lent!!

Almost nobody in America knows that anymore. It's "The Christmas Season" to them -- that's when you rush out right after Thanksgiving, put up a tree, spend weeks shopping for things, parties with Santa Clauses, the kids opening one present Christmas Eve, gift exchanges Christmas morning (that's the 12th day, you know), bored kids by afternoon, and on the 26th the tree is on the curb awaiting pickup. Christmas is over. (2nd option: tree remains until New Year's Day.)
