The following are excerpts from an interview with Dr. Abd Al-Baset Al-Sayyed of the Egyptian National Research Center. Al-Majd TV aired this interview on January 16, 2005
Dr. 'Abd Al-Baset Sayyid: The centrality [of Mecca] has been proven scientifically. How? When they traveled to outer space and took pictures of the earth, they saw that it is a dark, hanging sphere. The man said, "Earth is a dark hanging sphere – who hung it?"
Interviewer: Who said that?
Dr. 'Abd Al-Baset Sayyid: [Neil] Armstrong. Armstrong was basically trying to say: Allah is the one who hung it. They discovered that Earth emits radiation, and they wrote about this on the web.

There's a study that proves that the black basalt rocks in Mecca are the oldest rocks in the world. This is the truth.
Interviewer: The oldest rocks? Yes. Has this been proved scientifically?
Dr. 'Abd Al-Baset Sayyid: It's been scientifically proven, and the study has been published.
Interviewer: They took basalt rocks from Mecca…
Dr. 'Abd Al-Baset Sayyid: …Basalt rocks from Mecca, and investigated the places where they were formed.
In the British Museum there are three pieces of the black stone [from the Ka'ba] …and they said that this rock didn't come from our solar system.

Is it true that Arm Strong did actually land on the moon or at least circled around the earth in the outer space? If the answer is yes, when did it actually happen? Would appreciate an early reply from Dr. Abd Al Baset.

We muslims believe in Unity, so at the time of prayer for unity we face ‘Kabba’. As for attacking Mecca, leave attacking aside u even cann’t enter Mecca. There were many Non-Muslims who have tried to attack Mecca, but they failed.

I must make one thing clear to u, Quran is not a Book of ‘Science’. It is book of ‘Signs’. Yet with the grace of Allah, Quran has many verses which are in accordance with Established Science. Below are some Examples:
(1) It is mentioned in Surah Furqan Chapter 25, Verse 61, Sun has its own light while moon has reflected one.
(2)Production of Milk is mentioned in Surah Nahl, Chapter 16, Verse 66. It is also mentioned in Chapter 23, Verse 21.
(3) There are Communties even in animal kingdom is mention in Chapter 6, verse 38.
This is not full stop, there are many more verses which are compatible with established Science which i’m going to publish later.
For the sake of argument if we consider Quran has no verses which r compatible with science,yet it has not a single verse which is against modern established Science like Bible.
As for ur misconception that Mohammad (Pbuh) said Sun sets in Murky water is concerned, Mohammad (Pbuh) never said Sun sets in Murky Water. It is the misconception among non-muslims. The verse u r reffering is from Glorius Quran Chapter 18, Verse 86 in which Allah say that, It appeared to Zal- Qarnayni that sun sets in murky water. Not Sun actually sets in Murky water, it only appeared so. The word used is “Wajadah” which means appeared to.
