Year after year Bubba's wife pleaded with him to take her fishing but he kept telling her she would not enjoy it. She, finally, wore him down, he consented, and early one morning they took off to the lake. They had not been there very long when the fish began biting. Almost as fast as they cast, a fish would bite, and they reeled it in. After catching their limit, Bubba said, Verna Lou, sweet thang, I'm sorry. You've been good luck and I'm gonna bring you with me the next time. If you'll mark the spot where we caught all these fish, we'll go home.

On the way home, Bubba turned to Verna Lou and said, Sweet thang, how did you mark the spot were all the fish are so next time I'll know? Bubba, darlin', I put a big 'X' on the side of the boat right down closest to the water. Sweet thang, that's about the dumbest thing I ever seed you do. Don't you know that won't work? We may not get the same boat the next time!

There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed a desire to become a "great" writer.

When asked to define "great" he said "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream, cry, wail, howl in pain, desperation, and anger!"

He now works for Microsoft writing error messages.

Marissa graduates from pre-school at noon today, so I will be gone for awhile today.

Hello Amy! Give our congratulations to Marissa on her graduation, the first of many, a first step toward growing up! I think I'm going to eat some ice cream (later) in celebration!

Clean air day.. I love my Living Air (formerly Alpine) air purifiers.. with pets, moldy basement, pollens etc.. it is a big help..

How everyone is doing well. My company is gone & I have a lot of house/yard catching up to do..

I hope to get there early enough to get a good seat. If not, I will get pictures of the backs of stranger's heads, with tiny pictures of Marissa in the background.

She is excited but I think the field-trip to the zoo tomorrow is the primary reason.

She is also excited about kindergarten. Next Tuesday, she starts 3 weeks of Kinder Kamp. She will get hands-on computer lessons. She knows how to play games on mine. I hope they teach her something useful. (Like how to post a thread) :)
