Sometimes it takes me awhile to catch up. By the time I reply, you've left. :)
Nice to see you in real time.

This is true.
And I'll try it, but I'll substitute chicken for woodchuck.
The woodchucks around here would not be worth eating.

We have groundhogs out the wazzoo. We hunt them as varmits, they cause a log of damage. Find their burrow, then take your rifle and wait 100 yards away. When they pop up, BANG!

I'm with you ... if I ever try it, it will be chicken, not woodchuck.

We don't have groundhogs here but we have billions of ground squirrels.
Those little guys are distructive to crops. Don't tell any enviro-nazis but farmers use poison to control them.
Between the squirrels and the pocket gophers, we have enough rodents to keep them off the endangered species list for several generations.

Happy Wednesday, Meekie.
Glad the snow missed you; did they get any in Amarillo?
Hope you are having a super day.

Chipmunks are everywhere. Pocket gophers? Is that like a trouser snake?

Mr. Groundhog's Shadow
A groundhog lives down deep in the ground.
He Sleeps through the winter.
And every year about this time,
He wakes up and wonders,
"Is it time to get out of bed
Or pull the covers back over my head?"
So he pokes his head up out of the ground.
Will he see his shadow?

I don't eat groundhog. Soak it for hours? Gimme a 2 inch thick New York strip and a six pack of Rolling Rock, si vous plait!
