LOL

Thank you, BG.

That second picture is so funny. Isn't he a sweetheart? He seems to be growing like a weed.

Thank you for bringing us Logan.

Patience

They join me in the cold duck blind,
Or maybe in my boat.
They watch the sky so patiently,
Or watch the decoys float.
They sit so still and quietly,
As if they’re made of stone.
They are my buddies and my friends,
I never feel alone.
They look at me, I fire the shot,
They wait for my command.
The chosen one dives in to fetch,
Returns it to my hand.
They then resume their patient wait,
Each hoping for a turn.
They like this more than even I,
So much from them, I learn.

I especially like that one. My two canine friends are not hunting dogs, but I sure learn from them every day.

Good morning, Meekie.

I was missing much of yesterday; is your back any better? I hope the steam room and whirlpool are helping.

Have a terrific Thursday!

The Puppy

Born at six ounces looking so sweet,
Born with two eyes two ears and four feet.
Growing like wild flowers out in the field,
Learning each day bout the world and its feel.
By four weeks it's moving around on all fours.
Searching each corner, the den and much more.
By six it is eating mashed food that is warm,
Yet still counting on mommy to keep it from harm.
By eight it is steady on all four little paws,
Its jumping and playing, and using its claws.
By ten it is time to be moving along,
To a loving new family, where it soon will belong.
Leaving its mother, playmates and kin,
To start a new life with its family of friends.

My Beauty

The most beautiful eyes
I've never seen such loyalty
Such honesty, so much laughter.

I look deep inside your mind
And see no barriers, only true and complete love.

I've never understood
Why you love me so
When I give you nothing in return
But you do, you never question why.

I'm so undeserving
But I love you back truly
Although I know it must not show
You truly are my one and only

My Buddy

Buddy,your big brown eyes
make me love you so.
My days are now filled with sunshine
more than you'll ever know.

Buddy,you've been through so much
but your love of life carries on
Bud,you mean so much to me, I'll
never do you wrong.

I depend on you for love & security
and I know you do the same,
Buddy,you are my special guy
and I'm your loving dame.

They may think you're just a dog
but you are my special friend
Buddy,you and me will stick
together until the very end.

MY BUDDY

Nights are long since you went away,
I think about you all through the day,
My buddy, my buddy, no buddy quite so true.
Miss your voice, the touch of your hand,
Just long to know that you understand,
My buddy, my buddy, your buddy misses you
Buddies through all the gay days,
Buddies when something went wrong;
I wait alone through the gray days,
Missing your smile and your song.

Nights are long since you went away,
I think about you all through the day,
My buddy, my buddy, no buddy quite so true.
Miss your voice, the touch of your hand,
Just long to know that you understand,
My buddy, my buddy, your buddy misses you

My neighbor has two dogs. One of them says to the other, "Woof!" The other replies, "Moo!"

The dog is perplexed. "Moo? Why did you say, "Moo'?" The other dog says, "I'm trying to learn a foreign language."

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you.
This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.

Money will buy a pretty good dog, but it won't buy the wag of his tail.

When you leave them in the morning, they stick their nose in the door crack and stand there like a portrait until you turn the key eight hours later.

No no no. We must get Bob Ballard to launch a recovery. Mayo especially Hellmanns is too valuable to leave on the sea floor.

Oh, thanks a lot. Post Pictures of such a precious little thing right before my poem. Nobody will even see my poem now because everyone will be talking about Logan.

I remember when my 24 year old daughter and my 23 year old son were that size. They grow up so fast. I am looking forward to grandchildren in the future now.
