LOL!
Yeah, I'm Waaaaaay past teh time I should be pretending to be one with the eternally resting.
(small poor joke referring to a wisecrack about me being 'undead' or some such.)
Well, considering the missus isn't here for the weekend, and I'm 'unsupervised' until this afternoon, it went well.
And, as an added bonus, nothing melted down, caught on fire, tossed sparks, or tried to escape!

You've seen the 'touch the pretty white' look too?
Kearen sits and waits for yu to get all unsuspecting like before playing "Bit ya!"
It's hysterical watchign the other cats run out of the way of the charging heffalump.
Well, the train wreck was pretty bad.
Two cats charging around at one time meeting head on in the middle of the livingroom.
Mass always wins, and Kearen had the greater mass.

Get your dog, Lulabelle, one of those amphibious trucks to drive. Like they used at the beaches of Normandy kind of vehicle.

Hi, Mama Bear! Hey, PAL! Nice to bump into you here.
I was just about to sign off for the evening. It's been a long day. I've been watching over a family of scrub jays trying to make sure the neighborhood cats don't get the babies before they fly off. They had been in a nest in our lemon tree, then today I discovered that all four of them were on the ground under an Oleander bush and the parents were frantically trying to lure them back into the lemon tree.
They did manage to get them back into the tree, and this evening, just before dusk I watched each of the little birds, one by one, follow their parents into the park behind us, flying from tree to tree. It was sad to see them go, but I'm happy that they got their wings before the cats discovered them.
Do you have scrub jays where you live? They are mean birds with a harsh, raucous call. They are the "bird bullies" of the neighborhood.........but I try to remember that they are just doing as they are programmed to do. :-)

The Church
A little wood frame chapel,
Down a long dirt road.
To me was a Cathedral,
It was Gods abode.
No stained glass or carpet down,
Creaky wooden floors.
No organ or piano there,
No lock on the doors.
We sang because He listened,
Praises of His Name.
The Preacher preached with passion,
This was not a game.
No separating young and old,
We became one crowd.
We sang praises of His Love,
And we sang it loud.
Oh how I miss that tiny church,
So long ago and far.
But God is where you seek Him,
Even in your car.
So pray to Him, praise His Name,
Anywhere you go.
Hell guide you through your lifetime,
Trust Him this I know.

Not Bread Alone
If bread were only heat-baked dough
I think I would not like it so,
But it is earth and rain and sun
And furrows where the pheasants run.
Golden light of dawn is spread
On each slice of wheaten bread.
When I wield the sharpened knife
I have cut a slice of life.

Those trucks are too slow. I just drive right down to the edge of the water and let her jump out the window. She likes it the ducks hate it and the truck stays dry.

Spring in the garden
I walked with God in a garden...
It was near the close of day.
We walked among the flowers,
Along a narrow way.
I walked with God in a garden...
The air was fresh and cool.
I felt his step beside mine,
Down by a lily pool.
I walked with God in a garden...
The seson was early spring.
I saw the young leaves glisten,
I heard a robin sing.
I walked with God in a garden...
Though my body was not quite whole,
I shall never forget the feeling
Of peace within my soul.
