New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is downplaying the significance of a Supreme Court decision blocking him enforcing stringent attendance limits on religious institutions in Covid hot spots.
“That Supreme Court ruling on the religious gatherings is more illustrative of the Supreme Court than anything else,” Cuomo said on a Thanksgiving morning briefing call. “It’s irrelevant from any practical impact.”

I’m not a legal expert, but if the Supreme Court has ruled against government-enforced limits on religious gatherings, no court in NY or elsewhere will allow penalties handed down by Cuomo or NY State Government

The law does not play hide and seek. Of course this is impactful as the bastard now CAN’T restrict religion without restricting everyone else similarly. And this will have practical effect throughout the country challenges arise in other states.
