And Caesar Augustus basically banned the senate and declared himself emperor.

The Roman Senate had got that corrupt.

History repeats.

Yeah well. He might. But the Senate will just take out its daggers and stab him 32 times.

"In January 49 BC, he crossed the Rubicon River with his army, in violation of sacred Roman law, and begin a civil war. “Alea iacta est,” said Caesar: The die is cast."

Hmmm.

Knowing that this site is monitored by, um, people other than the owners and helpers, I would have "no comment".
I don't even know what this article is talking about.

Obama swam and swims the Rubicon daily.

I’ve been dreading it. But now I hope Pres Trump does it. We know how this all ends if he doesn’t.

Fascinating article. It seems the only way for truth and justice to triumph, would be for President Trump to go on a scorched earth policy.

Declare Martial Law revoke writ of Habeus Corpus, invoke the Insurrection Act, refuse to concede, refuse to leave the White House, and basically force Civil War II.

Works for me.

Last ditch remedy - it would really shake things up though.
I’d stand with him.

This would be treason and make Trump the fascist the left claims he is. We are a nation of laws. If Trump can’t prove in a court of law that their was fraud then he needs to concede.

And, as I seem to recall, Augustus ushered in 200 years of Pax Romana, Roman peace.

You assume a court of law would actually follow the law. As anyone knows, this is foolish thinking.

Regardless of any court ruling, or lack thereof, President Trump has a legal obligation to follow the constitution. Taking these measures as outlined in this article is in no way treasonous.

I have seen ‘Insurrection Act’ and ‘call the ball’ used together somewhere on the internet before..

Without proof of fraud then we must assume their was no fraud. One man does not make the decision that there was fraud. If he cannot convince the Supreme Court, of which he appointed three judges, that their was fraud then he does not get to make that decision.

Now if the Supreme Court did rule there was fraud and said that the house should determine the next President and their voted for Trump and the democrats attempted to use violence to install Biden he would then be within the constitution to insurrection act to stop it.

I also believe he shouldn’t do it however it wouldn’t be treason and it would be following the law as written...

The point of the article was not just his options but full legal remedy outside the courts.

This a really good summation of my thoughts on the matter. Everybody needs to get their head around the fact that we are in the middle of an ongoing coup attempt. We are now so outside the bounds of normalcy only drastic action will restore the constitutional republic. I have been coming to the realization for 2 weeks now that the only way out of this morass is martial law.

Biden simply cannot be allowed to take office. I don’t know if Trump has the will to stop it or not but he certainly has the moral high ground. This country is beyond the ballot box.

His breakdown should have been more granular....

Gen y & z right and left comparison, those groups represent the younger adults, the potential active populations.

Odds are that conservative cohorts are more disciplined, focused, already armed with skill levels, as well as having jobs, and thus skin in the game.

Contrast that with the special interest fractured leftists with so many dependent on gov money and services, unfocused, lacking self discipline and skill sets. Granted that antifa/blm/black bloc are currently using effective strategies and tactics, but how numerous are they likely to become?

Those are the critcal numeric comparisons.
