he notion that Judge Amy Coney Barrett of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit will be President Trump’s third lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court has the liberal progressives in cardiac arrest. They threaten Trump with another impeachment for doing what the Constitution allows him to do – appoint Supreme Court justices and lower court judges (he has done 300 so far) up to the very last second before he leaves office, assuming he is not reelected. But it looks increasingly likely that he will be, particularly if he makes such a stellar pick. Trump has promised to pick a woman, so the likes of Sen. Ted Cruz will have to wait until Trump’s second term. Barrett is as far from Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s secular progressive and anti-Constitution philosophy as one can get. She does not support abortion on demand and does not want to lower the age of consent so pre-teens can have sex. She’s adamantly pro-life, she is the oldest of seven children and has seven kids herself, two of them adopted Haitian children. She is also Catholic and as such will be and has been a target of the Democrat Party’s virulent anti-Catholic bigotry.

Republicans need to keep interrupting commiecrats whenever they talk just like the commies do in the house. Don’t let them get out two words and tell them that any questions re. religion are unconstitutional and therefore off the table. Just gavel them down whenever they say anything.

I think it’s sad but the pick for SOTUS will be torched. So DJT has to find one of these ladies willing to get the treatment. Trump has good picks and I’ll support whoever but I hope they are tough as hell. We the people need to have the one who is picked’s back. We need to be there for him/her and hope they stay true to us.
This all is so annoyingly ridiculous. The most pressing issue should be will she follow the constitution. Sounds pretty simple to me. Why make such a big circus out of a basic question?
No anti-Catholic bigotry when it comes to the Supreme Court. Only Catholics and Jews with Ivy League credentials need apply.
What isn’t allowed on the Supreme Court these days is a White Evangelical Male that isn’t a member of the ‘club’.
It’s not so much Barrett’s Catholicism that incenses them, it’s that she is serious about her religion. Many Catholics in the U.S. Congress are unfortunately not serious about the teachings of the Church. In fact they have contempt for the moral doctrine while giving them lip service. You can’t be pro-abortion and be a good Catholic.
Amy Coney Barrett actually walks the walk. That’s not acceptable to the intolerant left.
Some folks are leery of Catholics.

I don’t know if this judge is qualified for the Supreme Court. I just picked him to show that high-level Orthodox Christian Federal judges exist. For the current appointment, I support Amy Coney Barrett!
Someday, perhaps we can have a highly qualified Orthodox Christian Supreme Court member. Or one of the current Justices might convert to the Orthodox Church, if God is willing!!!!
20% of Americans are catholic. Yet, 6 of 9 USSC justices will be catholic. But that’s not strange or anything.
